WASHINGTON The U.S. Department of Transportation has delayed plans to open the border to long-haul Mexican trucks until at least Thursday, after earlier reports that it could happen over Labor Day weekend.
In a filing yesterday in the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, government attorneys said the agency expects to get the OK from its inspector general on Wednesday that would allow it to begin the controversial cross border trucking experiment.

It’s bad enough that our borders are wide open to foot traffic, now we are inviting truck loads of whatever whoever wants to pack into a semi.
“Al Qaeda is frustrated by this decision.”
Osama: “Oh no, now it will be impossible for us to cross the tightly guarded US/Mexican border...”
The Presidents will be very upset.

Better chance of them ruling that every American should carry a concealed weapon.
So,is anyone doing anything about this? I just got my computer fixed,it crashed months ago so I am way out of touch on what is really going on.How can we be safe if they let these trucks come in? God, I am scared to death.
bttt
Larry Craig was framed because he’s a conservative republican. Was Larry Craig for shamnesty or against it? I think he was framed by the GOP. (Did Larry vote against the prez and Mel Martinez on the Senate bill? Seriously, this looks like a neocon setup to me, not an attempted restroom hookup.
I don’t know, but it is discusting, another of Bush’s bone headed ideas that puts ALL Americans using the roadways at risk, with no safeguards in place at all to ensure these delapitated, unsafe, un- inspected, un-insured, trucks driven by un-checked for criminal records, un-licienced, possible terrorists, murderers, rapists and drug dealers, do not enter the country.
This is INSANE, and i hope trucking companies, border guards, and other agencies everywhere band together NOW, in a better organized front than we have seen so far, and STOP this stupidity!!!
Larry Craig was a pro amnesty vote I believe.
I’m reminded of an event that happened the other day at one of the businesses I deliver to. They had just painted the stairs to where us drivers enter the dock area. There had been to orange cones placed in front of the bottom stairs with some caution tape between them. There were three ‘wet paint’ signs attached to the door, and the cones. Low and behold there was one driver who backed up to the dock, jumped out of the truck and fell over all the obstacles blocking the entrance. When Jim the dock worker started asking him why he did not follow the signs, the driver seemed confused. He couldn’t read English.
pro-amnesty re: Craig. I’ll ck it out. It sure seemed like a setup to me. The audio doesn’t prove guilt or innocence, just a cop saying “you’re lying” doesn’t a lie make.
I always get concerned when the 9th Circus and American People appear in the same sentence. Their diametric opposition to anything good for America has been their hallmark.
We can only hope for reason. Maybe their dislike for the current administration will cause them to give us a reasonable decision.
The government responded that the project will satisfy all congressional requirements, while requiring Mexican carriers to pass pre-certification inspections and comply with the same requirements as American truck drivers.
This is a link to the new Mexican Highway and what seems to be a delivery point within the USA. Fairly scary stuff.
I live in Columbus,Ohio and believe me,the crime has went up 100%. A friend of mine told be a bunch of Mexicans have tried to break in on her 82 year old mother 3 times. She is scared to death. She sold her home and is moving into an apartment because of it. Isn’t that terrible? They are running Americans out of their own homes because of their criminal behavior.I feel like I need a passport just to go to the grocery store. I’m thinking about moving myself. I’ve had enough.
And that is dangerous. There is supposed to be a WOT.
