I checked other similar transcript threads. This one looks to be a complete transcript.

We are screwed...We have become the Romans...

But I did find this humorous:

DK: Okay, sir. We deal with people that lie to us everyday.

LC: I'm sure you do.

DK: I'm sure you do to sir.

LC: And gentleman so do I.

I wonder if Craig, Foley, Livingstone, etc. were part of the FBI files Mrs. clinton still has. I wonder if the arresting officer is a democRAT.

Well, I don't wonder about Sen. Craig, he's outta control. Look for some kind of rehab stint for him soon.

Based on the media hoopla I thought this guy tried to do the George Michael with someone. Foot tapping? A hand under a stall wall? If I read this right there was actually nothing going on. The deal was that these are gay "signals" then they go somewhere else? And that's what he was busted for?

I don't understand this. It's so strange to me.

I am going to put this nex to Pee Wee Herman stroking it in a theatre. It would not even be significant were it not for his position. Every line of the cops sounds like a man trying to corner someone from what they think the person did. I don’t condone homo activity in public places, but I am alarmed when someone uses the suble or not so suble force of the state to get you to admit to something you look like you were doing.

What a railroading.

I’m in Chicago and the front page of the Sun-Times is a guy who was railroaded by undercover vice cops posing as a street corner whore. The guy stopped (with his wife and daughter in the car) because his wife had seen a female appear to need help waving her arms. They stopped to see if she needed help and the cop said $25 for sex and they family laughed. Next thing he’s arrested and the city impounds his car (Chitown scam) and thousands of $$$ later...

Thanks for posting the transcript. That cop spent way too much time emphasizing the benefits of pleading guilty.

You accept a job as a toilet cop only if you have been promised a reward if you do it well. Doing it well means getting convictions. An easy way to get convictions is to threaten innocent men with the expense and humiliation of a public trial, so they plead guilty even if they are innocent. Maybe that was not what the cop was doing, but it sure sounded that way to me.

Yesterday I was pretty much convinced that Craig was guilty. Now I am not at all sure he wasn't just the victim of a police scam.

Time will tell. This is an ideal time for Craig's gay partners to make money selling their stories, so we will either learn something from those stories, or from their absence.

All I can say is—this guy’s a sneak-weasel. If a cop falsely accused me of something like this, I’d be outraged and want to speak to a lawyer immediately.

Whats with al the “1,1 1,1,1 1,1 entries?

Should they be “I”s?

After listening to the tapes while reading the transcript, does anyone else think the Officer acted too prematurely? Shouldn’t he have at least waited for some sort of verbal exchange (note I said “verbal” not “oral” :) . . ahem . . .or some attempted movement from one of the stalls to the next? At what point does it become obvious what Craig’s intent was?

Doesn’t undercover in prostitution cases have to wait until there is some sort of solicitation (discussion regarding money) before an arrest is made? Just merely pulling over and talking with a hooker isn’t enough. Eyeballing her, flirting with her, etc.

Even if Craig was following the behavior associated with restroom homosexuality, it sure seems to me like there should’ve been more words or behavior to ensure that illegal acts were indeed going to take place. Then the Officer could’ve made his arrest.

DK: I’m not going to bring you to jail

LC: You solicited me.

DK: Okay. We’re going to get, We’re going to get into that. (inaudible)

How interesting. This sounds like a confession by the cop that he solicited Craig.

Has it been verified that there had been a lot of previous arrests in this mens room? If that part is a lie then I’d suspect this was a frame up.

When they read him his rights, Craig should have just shut up and asked for a lawyer. Silence is NOT an admission of guilt and can't be used against you in a court of law. Don't proceed and make a confession since a police officer is NOT your friend. He's looking for evidence to convict you. Why didn't Craig ask for a lawyer? Every suspect on the TV shows, after they have been Mirandized, ask for one. That is most bizarre point of the entire transcript. You would think a United States Senator would know to do the obvious thing when he's been arrested and under interrogation by the police.

All I can tell from this case is that George Costanza was right. The toilet stall doors (and walls) should come all the way down to the floor.
