The media didn't kill him. They made his life a living hell.

Brian Williams mentioned Jewell’s death on Nightly Nooze last night but skipped the fact that NBC has smeared him. Typical.

I can still see the picture of him in my mind, forlornly sitting on the stairs of his apartment complex, head buried in his hands, while the FBI ransacked his apartment where he lived with his mother. I could tell at that moment he was not guilty of anything..................

We had a similar situation here in Florida when those University of Florida students were murdered in Gainesville several years ago. The press latched on to some poor soul who, as I recall, lived with his grandmother over near the East Coast. They had him tried and convicted in no time at all. Imagine their surprise when the killer turned out to be some else!

I always felt badly for Richard Jewell.

R. I. P.

A case of an MSM feeding frenzy around one of the few unprotected groups remaining in the USA. $500,000 was no where near enough to compensate, let alone any real punitive action against NBC.

Jewell was actually lucky some headline-grabbing prosecutor didn’t railroad him to prison for the rest of his life.

Wanted to be sure you guys saw this. The power of the media to destroy a life, if anything, has grown since 1996.

Jewell became a part of the nation’s conscience...

Umm... No.

Jewell became a part of the nation's consciousness (awareness), not conscience (moral compass).

Don’t forget Janet Reno! Her conscience must resemble a landfill.
