Craig to Hold Press Conference: Will He Resign? [2pm MDT]
ABC News ^ | August 28, 2007

His future in doubt, with allies denouncing his behavior and former staffers voicing disbelief at his arrest, Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, is expected to hold a press conference this afternoon that may answer questions about his political future.

Long dogged by rumors about his sexuality, the married and conservative three-term senator is expected to address the June 11 incident at Minneapolis Airport in which an undercover officer arrested him on charges of lewd conduct in a men's room.

Craig will give a statement this afternoon concerning his arrest at 2 p.m. Mountain Time in downtown Boise, a spokesman said. Craig's staff said he would not take questions.

Really, gay sex can be addicting, he needs to end it now and get help, before he hurts a child or something.

I agree, homosexual sex is not only addicting but totally perverted, and meeting in filthy bathrooms with strangers is proof of how unnatural and sick that lifestyle is.

Soliciting homosexual sex or any other sexual activity in a public restroom is disorderly conduct. I will not ignore that behavior nor should Christian conservatives of Idaho. You can be certain God will not ignore such behavior under these unrepentant circumstances. But we are discussing the political ramifications of his degenerate sexual practices that he wants the public to ignore as if they don’t matter, don’t indicate something of his vacuous character, and don’t harm the political party to which he belongs. If he were a democrat, he would get a sly grin from the press and they would move to the next feeding frenzy.

Clinton not only solicited degenerate sexual behaviors, he shook his finger in the world’s face and lied about it with anger in his countenance. And his sycophancy in the media scurried to give him cover. Republican conservatives don’t scurry to give cover to deviancy. Today's democrats are proud that their degenerate got away with all he did and they embrace degenerates. We should not sink so low.

In order to be a liberal, you have to stand on your head and declare the rest of the world is upside down. Meanwhile there has been a campaign for years to make certain that our children, through the indoctrination of the public schools we are all forced to pay for, have NO morals, only the “values” that the schools teach: There is NO right or wrong; anything a person chooses to do is fine if he FEELS like it is.

If you haven’t, read Chesterton’s “Orthodoxy.” He does a better job of addressing this sort of upside down world view than anyone I’ve ever read.

No, Gonzales is a perjurer, a liar, an incomptent stooge who "can't recall" a single thing in his past, and a fool who allows innocent people to be locked up, while letting clearly gulity criminals skate free. AND if he has failed to perform the basic duties of his office, and there is no one left in America (sans Bush) who trusted him in his role as AG.

Yet a bunch of freepres insisted he should be allowed to stay on indefinitely on the basis that A) He has an "R" to his name, and B) We don't want the Dems to "take out" another Republican, even if the Republican they target deserves to be fired and is gulity of being the liar and fraud they attack him as.

So on that basis, why not blindly defend Craig due to him having that magical "R" next to his name?

Are we saying that 48 hours ago, we couldn't afford to lose ANY more Republican officials due to Democrats complaining, but now, we have lynch the first one they attack?

Hmmm.

"Can you spare a square?"

Seriously though, if Craig's trolling bathrooms for sex, he should resign. If he's not trolling bathrooms for sex, he should fight this.

I tend to believe cops, but know there are some bad ones. I tend NOT to believe most newspapers or MSM when they write negative things about GOP. If the Idaho paper's story is true, Craig should resign.

After seeing the outrageous slanders that Bill O'Reilly reported about FR (here, here and here), and that DC Fox5 put in their report on FR (see here), I hope that FReepers will be at least a little skeptical.

Maybe the facts against him are lies like the "facts" that BOR asserted against FR? Probably not, but keep an open mind.

"It appears that the commie libs have a list of republican senators and congressmen that MAY have some past flaky background."

They have a list of the most conservative and that's all it takes to get on their list. Once you're there, they will watch you like a hawk for ANYTHING, not necessarily a sexual peccadillo, they can use against you. Santorum was # 1 on the list. It was a continuous campaign of nit picky crap in local papers across the state that soured a lot of conservatives on him as Rick was really a family values guy.

“If this guy is innocent he deserves to be supported regardless of his other positions.”

Then an investigation needs to be done to determine if he is guilty or innocent.

I can remember when politicians, their staffs, and the press were a bunch of alcoholic, chain smoking, WWII vets. Those were the days!

These sorts of allegations have dogged Craig for years.

Forget it.

There can be no serious denial now. The guy’s a sick homosexual pervert.
