JERUSALEM Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the Egyptian government the Jewish state is willing to forfeit control over the Temple Mount Judaism's holiest site to the management of Egypt, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority, according to an Arab media report.

Damn fools running Israel.
I bet Bibi will be in charge soon.
Jews who go to live in Israel don’t want to forfeit that Holy Site to their enemies.
I agree.
barak is a dim... who knew? What an appeaser... and giving something away that belongs to GOD... not good!

Sorry I do not believe this.
This report is so outrageous I cannot believe it. This is like the US inviting Hamas to run our school systems. Disastrous.
If it’s from WND, I will need another source.
“God won’t put up with this.”
On the contrary. It was God who destroyed the Temple in 70 AD. It was the Temple that God wouldn’t put up with, nor will He ever again because it is Christ who is the True Temple.
I believe you’ve gotten stuck in the Old Testament types and shadows and forgotten that Christ is the fulfillment. There is no mention of a rebuilt third Temple anywhere in Scripture. And for very good reason, needless to say.
” This is like the US inviting Hamas to run our school systems.”
they might be, have you really looked at our school system lately?

” Sorry I do not believe this.”
why not?
The first messiah to ascend to the temple on the mount is the anti-christ. The complete destruction of the Jewish temple must be completed and this work has been continuing for years and no one knows the true extent.
The last seven verses of Obadiah describe a battle between Israel and Mount Esau. Mount Esau? Never heard of it? Esau represents the enemies of the true God. "Mount Esau" is an entity on the Temple Mount that will be judged.
There appears to be two ways the Temple Mount will be returned to Israel and the faithful. One is through an earthquake some 1,260 days after the anti-christ ascends the Temple Mount. The other is as described in Obadiah.
The people of Israel flee/forfeit/abandon Jerusalem before either occurs. Indeed there will be one more treat made between the enemies of Israel and the Jewish state. This treaty will remove all the obstacles of Israel's enemies.
Be still and know that the Lord our God will deliver us.
I’m a post-millenialist myself- but remember, Sharon had a stroke right after he signed Gaza over. That was no coincidence.
Sure enough, not 40 years later, the Roman army in 70 A.D. pulled down every building and portico on the temple compound.
After the six-day war in 1967 when the Jews finally gained control of this sector of Jerusalem, they pulled down those Palestinian houses and opened up a large square in front of the wall.
In his prophesy about the restoration of Jerusalem, Isaiah foresaw this event: "You counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you pulled down houses to strengthen the wall." (Is.22:10).
Isaiah's words warn the Jews that their rejoicing at this restoration was untimely, because it was leading to a day of panic and rout (Is.22:1-14), and that during this rout the walls of Jerusalem would be thrown down.
""For this, a day of panic and rout is from the Lord God Almighty. In the valley of Hinnom a wall is thrown down, they are shouting for help on the mountains. Persia takes up his quiver, Aram mounts his horse and Kir fetches out his shield. Your fairest valleys are filled with chariots and the horsemen take up positions at the gates; thus falls the defense of Judah." (Is.22:5-8).
Added support for Isaiah's warnings are clear in the prophecies of disaster which Jeremiah and Ezekiel announced would sweep the nation of Israel as the days of the End unfold.
According to prophesy, the temple will never be rebuilt, Instead, Israel is in for a rough time. ""The cup from God's right hand comes round to you, and disgrace will overshadow your glory. For the violence done to Lebanon is going to overwhelm you, so will the slaughter of terrified beasts, for you have shed men's blood and ravished the country, the city and all who live in it." (Hab.2:16-17).
""Because you have trusted in your chariots, and in your host of warriors, turmoil is going to break out in your towns, and all your fortresses will be laid waste..." (Hos.10:13-14).
Most Christians understand that the restoration of Jerusalem is for the purpose of the Jewish meeting with God's chosen king, Jesus Christ.
Of course Jews read it much differently.
With negotiators like these, who needs terrorists.
Agreed, but that’s still no excuse for Israel to capitulate to their enemies. Paul said, ‘Should we then sin, that grace may abound?’ God forbid.
Same principle here. It’s akin to those who actually want destruction and mayhem, so that the ‘end times’ will hurry along. Meanwhile, God wants us operating in dominion and enforcing righteousness and peace, not cooperating with darkness!
Like I said, if this is a true report, Olmert is done. watch.
