"What I did was very immature so that means I need to grow up," he said.
He said, "Through this situation I've found Jesus."

1. Deer-hunters slaughter living breathing animals, and isn't always clean and pretty.
2. Killing pit bulls is doing the world a favor. Breeding and owning them is the crime.
3. Animals are not human. Killing dogs is weird, and should be illegal, but it is not on the level of harming a human.
Those who equate animals with humans are just as sick as Michael Vick. And those who despise him on the same level they would a murderer should have their own heads examined.
I didn’t say we shouldn’t speak out against it. I said we should give him the benefit of the doubt as to his claim of conversion.
Family background.....
A child of believers is set apart by God....”as it is they are holy...”
“...found himself fighting pigs for pods. Even my Father’s servants have it better. I will return to my Father and say, “Father, I have sinned...”
Here’s hoping.
It’s all about Cruelty. Look it up.
I didn't ask a trick question. I asked if you were equating a human child's life with that of an animal, and unless I've entirely misread your response, you affirmed that when you said in post #103
Life is life. Think about it.
Did I misread it?
Would you like to clarify your "Life is life"?
Just to back you up. "Life is life" not correct. Michael Vick is a human being, and therefore infinitely more valuable than any animal. To believe otherwise is sick.
Some use soccer (football) as an opiate too (read Europe). That’s the only comparison I’m going to draw. My asbestos suit is at the cleaners.
Sheesh.
It used to be how soon can any discussion gety around to Hitler. Now it’s abortion.
I agree.
much to generous on your part.
I'd say 100-1.
Free Tookey...now!!!
F Lee "fill in blank" told him to say that.
People do cruel things all the time, but hating Vick in particular is all about is equating animals with humans, and apparently from some of the comments, a lot of jealousy over Michale Vick’s income.
Michael Vick is a sinner, and he will pay a heavier price for his sins than most of us do, but he and his soul are still far more important than all the dogs in the world.
t used to be how soon can any discussion gety around to Hitler. Now its abortion.
crap, i was just going to mention Hitler, darn
I was unaware that hunters went out, captured multiple deer, mistreated them, and then trained them to kill other deer in an enclosed space. Sorry, your point is not made, and the comparison is absurd on its face
2. Killing pit bulls is doing the world a favor. Breeding and owning them is the crime.
Non sequitor in this context. Nice appeal to feeeeeelings though.
3. Animals are not human. Killing dogs is weird, and should be illegal, but it is not on the level of harming a human.
Well, aren't you the humanitarian with a firm grasp on the difference between species. Because it's not as bad as harming a human, we should simply turn off our moral compass and not care? Fat chance. And if reading is not your thing, put killing dogs in one hand and righteous indignation in the other. Do they really look the same to you?
Those who equate animals with humans are just as sick as Michael Vick.
No one on this thread has equated dogs and humans. People who minimize Vick's actions on the basis of the Biblically stated inequality between dogs and humans are the ones who need to read the good book for comprehension.
And those who despise him on the same level they would a murderer should have their own heads examined.
Really? Come to my house and kill my dog. They'll be examining your head, and wondering how to extract the axe.
What about Hitler?
You may have intended it that way, but that is why I added "Think about it" to my original response.
But to elaborate .....to be 'cruel' to any life is unacceptable. You think it's ok huh?
Now, you're doing the very thing you accused me of - putting words into my mouth. What I did was to challenge your idea of equating a similarly cruel act to an animal and a human child. So, no, it's not acceptable to be cruel.
To animals or to humans.
But to equate the two types of life if you're a Christian puts you in conflict with Scriptures. That's what I'm getting at.
God created mankind (both sexes, folks) in His image. We were also designed to have a relationship with God. Not so with animals. It's a slippery slope when God is taken out of the picture and you're left with naturalism. PETA happens to be further down the slope than almost anyone, but logically, that's where it will end up.
Humans are so worthwhile to God, that Jesus died for their sins, to make restoration of that relationship possible.
Luckily, it is very easy to find Jesus in federal prison. (Of course, pronunciation is everything.)
“No one on this thread has equated dogs and humans”
i agree. why all this abortion/humans come first stuff? this is a discussion about animal abuse. why do they bring up these subjects. take the abortion, humans are special talk to the appropriate threads.
If you care more about your pet than you do Michael Vick, for all his flaws, then, yes, that is sick.
