Many of you know that I help organize the Duncan Hunter "meetup" group(s). I decided to peek in at the "competition" and found it very interesting that Ron Paul supporters are being urged to attend the MoveOn.org rally....
http://ronpaul.meetup.com/1/boards/view/viewthread?thread=3421862
I post this because I know there are a lot of folks on FR that support Ron Paul.. I just wonder if you are participating in this effort.. or what you think about this whole business of catering to MoveOn.org
.... quote from an active Ron Paul supporter
Somebody posted a thread concerning moveon, and letting their members know about Ron Paul. As a member of moveon.org, I received today an invitation to create an anti-war rally on August 28th. They will be doing rallies all across the nation on that day. We should invade this event. During the rally, bring anti-war stickers, signs, and flags -- and also Ron Paul signs. Introduce moveon members to Ron Paul, the REAL anti-war candidate! Anti-war people will ask about Ron Paul and be introduced to him on that day. Don't be rude, just gently introduce people to the peace candidate. Moveon.org is well cordinated, so if enough of our people show up at their rallies, we might be able to convert a huge number of people.
I have already created a moveon.org anti-war rally, on the 28th at 7pm, right outisde of the West Covina Mall. Please, everybody who can in this group, COME. It's on the corner of Vincent and Plaza Drive in West Covina.

I know you couldn’t run a platoon, but you’re more than willing to describe how to win the war on terror. And you’re more than willing to follow a goof ball and think the best way to win is to surrender. Surrender, as Orwell said, is the quickest way to end a war; it’s not the quickest way to win it.

The best way to support him is to blindly follow him without regard for the fate of our nation, our allies, and any other of the consequences.

Al Fatah is not al Qaeda, nor is Hamas. Gees, it’s boring dealing with you dilettantes. Get a clue.

Nasty, and dumb for a guy running for major public office.
Sure doesn’t reflect his campaign statement on his website.

These guys compile a record of very liberal policy and statements, then decide to run for national office and promptly start pretending to be more conservative than Reagan, Goldwater, Buckley and Taft combined.

No, he won twice, and there will never be a president Ron Paul. So put that in your silly screen name and smoke it, weirdo.

You’re confusing conservatism with finlandization. Appeasement is not a conservative principle. Cowardice in the face of al Qaeda is no virtue. Stabbing our troops and the Commander in Chief in the back is a vice.

There you have it. You’re making the isolationist argument of the 1930’s, which was so discredited that the Democrats were able to rule for 50 year. Now, you want to go back to the idea that we can hide behind our two oceans and Admiral Mahon’s navy. Have you heard of 9/11? Is there anything that can wake you and your Ron Paul ilk up?

The DU troll who signed up yesterday and was saying that she insists on undermining the President during the time of war and she called him a traitor. I am trying to find her name.

Here you go: theoreticalgirl a DU troll or a Paulistinian but what is the difference anyway? They both want to surrender to the terrorists.

So put that in your silly screen name and smoke it, weirdo.
Filled with your usual venom, I see.
In the meantime, our D.C. chapter is facing down the MoveOns in D.C. while our intrepid band, led by Karsten, is trying to invade the Pasadena MoveOn to convert some of them to supporting a Republican, liberty and small-government.
But then, the actual topic of the thread is never important to you, is it? Just another opportunity to vent some of your little inner rage issues, looking for pats on the back. And yet, the internet just never provides enough reward, leaving you...frustrated. And more angry.
At any rate, I wish both our little FReeper bands well and hope they don't meet with any violence from the MoveOns who sometimes have elements of the old Marxist Left in their leadership. Very nasty and hardened individuals, schooled in street confrontation tactics.
