This is a great write-up and this guy touts things that I have been thinking for years.
Just like during the Cold War, I do have faith that America and Western Civilization will prevail over Islamofascism.
This victory maybe decades away. And it will occur no thanks to these appeasing surrender monkeys.
Just as with the demise of the Soviet Union, conservatives, patriots and freedom lovers will have to drag these pacifist appeasers kicking and screaming across the finishing line...

I am absolutely at a loss as to why we tolerate these creeps. They would have been strung up in WWII. The “Peace Racket” = treason, and should be dealt with accordingly ... including through lawfully administered capital punishment. Then watch how quickly the Kumbaya movement in this country goes silent.

Warblogger Frank Martin described his visit to the military cemetery at Arnhem, in the Netherlands, where a teenage guide said that the Allied soldiers were fighting for bridges; how silly that they would all fight for something like that. Words fail me.

It should actually be labelled the “Surrender Racket”. I believe in truth in packaging.

Free speech is great.
All speech should be payed what they are worth.
For some that means bruises and broken bones.
There are no rights devoid of cost or responsibility.

It is also waging an aggressive, under-the-media-radar campaign for a cabinet-level Peace Department in the United States. Sponsored by Ohio Democratic congressman Dennis Kucinich (along with more than 60 cosponsors), House Resolution 808 would authorize a Secretary of Peace to establish a Peace Academy, develop a peace education curriculum for elementary and secondary schools, and provide grants for peace studies departments at campuses around the country. If passed, the measure would catapult the peace studies movement into a position of extraordinary national, even international, influence.
Why am I not surprised to see Dennis the Menece involved in this

Parasites. That’s the best thing you can possibly say about “peace activists” who live in the same free Western countries they denounce. They lack the conviction to actually live in the “People’s Paradise” dictatorships they praise. They are either deliberate traitors or hopelessly naive, or both. I generally assume the first, since any literate person can easily find the truth about freedom and tyranny.

An outstanding article, and thanks for posting it. Colman McCarthy has been at this sort of indoctrination a very long time now. These guys don't want much - a cabinet post, a department in the Executive (and why not? That's how we ended up with a Department of Education), and federally-funded university departments mandated by government (and why not? That's how we ended up with most of the "Studies" curricula). Opposition to this sort of nonsense is already being tarred with the epithet "hate speech." After all, who but a Nazi warmonger could possibly oppose Peace Studies?
This is, one hopes, the high-water mark of militant multiculturalism, the very essence of hatred of the West, of capitalism, and the pious hope that in eternal opposition it is paving the way for some sort of magical New Age that will arise phoenix-like from the ashes of the old, oppressive world. Ashes there shall surely be. The phoenix - well, that turns out to be a myth.

A great article and one in which I have taught about for 45 years in the classroom. Unfortunately, there are enough mush heads on the Left and in the so called middle who believe such twaddle today and are endangering the rest of us. The Dems are in fact socialist pacifists who think appeasement is sound foreign policy.

Ping to an important article.
It seems pretty clear that the "Peace Movement" is just one more front in the leftist war on America.

I finally got around to reading this. It’s very informative. I vaguely distrusted “peace studies.” Now I know. It is Marxism repackaged.
Many Americans, unfortunately not all, have wised up on the deficiencies of Marxism. So if someone takes a class that openly and honestly promotes Marxism, a relative, friend, or acquittance might set them straight. That does not happen when Marxism is disguised. Marxism may be presented as peace studies, international studies, environmental studies, latin-american studies, etc. The potential number of abstract titles that can be used to mask Marxism is without limit.
One problem is that public funding of education takes education decisions out of the hands of parents. Academically bright, but very foolish, young people can get full scholarships in programs that are Marxism disguised. It is hard for parents to have a say in the face of such public largess.
