You would think they had common sense, no wonder they need the help of the U.S. Press

Allah must have been taking a nap when these jihadis decided to attack the US military instead of killing women and children.

This is not a true frontal attack. If they hit three of four sides then it was a frontal and flank attack. From the sound of it they tried an ill-coordinated human-wave style of attack and got a serious asswhipping. No one said these cave dwellers were smart.

The common sense is to make senseless attacks against the world’s most powerful military and get the world's dumbest press (US Press) to report that Afghanistan is not stable, the Taliban is “regrouping” and US policy is a failure.

Too bad they don’t have video!

Sheer sense of desperation. Hooray for the brave soldiers at Firebase Anaconda! BTW, I wonder what the South Koreans are prepared to give the Taliban in exchange for the hostages.

I wonder if US forces use claymore mines for defensive positions these days.

don’t underestimate them. they may be poorly matched militarily, but they have a lot more patience than Americans. They will keep their experience and use it after we leave unless we are prepared to be there for a very long time.

An infantry charge against a fortified position? The Taliban should stop buying surplus Chinese tactical manuals from the Korean war. Mohammed Al-Pickets charge.

while being simultaneously decimated in the processDecimated would have been 7.5 of the attackers. More than 20 dead is a heck of a lot better than decimated. Too bad it wasn't 100%.

“t militant prisoners must be released in exchange for the lives of South Korean hostages or there will be a “bad result.”
We need to announce that if they massacre the Korean hostages
EVERY Taliban prisoner now being held in ALL facilities will be taken out and executed . That will settle the prisoner exchange question and send the correct message for the future.
The taliban are relying on our perceived humanitarian ‘weaknesses’ They have no such impediments.

Now that is calculated - a broadcasted emasculation of male Muslim fighters by an invading infidel woman - that has got to drive those gihadists into a rage
