Washington - Local police outside Charleston, South Carolina stopped a vehicle in which they found what were suspected to be explosives, according to media reports late Saturday.
Two men described as being of possibly Middle Eastern origin were in the vehicle, which was stopped on a highway.
A police bomb squad was at the scene and preparing to examine the vehicle, a local television reported told the Cable News Network (CNN).
This is starting to bother me.
First the car was “full of explosives”.
Then it was a trunk “full of explosives”.
Now a robot has pulled a bag out of the trunk...
It ain’t lookin’ like much folks. Not now anyway.

Whats kind of scary (at least to me) is when I read something like this I think of the timing...next week (August 6 and August 9) are the aniversaries of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Trully, I don’t want to be labled a ‘tinfoiler’ but that crossed my mind (they do seem to like ‘symbolism.’) Great police work by the Officers in SC.

I noticed Congress just renewed/passed the Bush/FISA legislation today...I wonder if they know something they’re not telling us...

The FBI is now in charge of the scene in Goose Creek and they are not releasing any new information on the explosives found in a vehicle Saturday night.
News 2’s Tara Lynn reports the FBI is now on the scene along Highway 176 in Goose Creek. Agents deployed a robot and pulled what looks like a duffle bag from the trunk.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s department, deputies closed Highway 176 after finding what they thought were explosives in the trunk of a car at about 6:00 Saturday night.
According to Lt. Vince Lombardo, deputies discovered the suspicious items in the trunk during a traffic stop. The two men inside the vehicle are detained at the scene. Lombardo also said information from an investigation in another jurisdiction raised the suspicions of the deputies.
176 is shut down from Dragon Way to Myers Road, with limited access to Mount Holly.

LOL...the posted news accounts make this sound like it all started from a ‘routine traffic stop.’ But I can’t help but wonder if a Police dog (we know how much they like canines) sniffed something out?
