Sad news: FReeper T'wit has passed away
August 4, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/04/2007 2:52:12 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We received word this morning that FReeper T'wit, Timothy Wheeler, has died. His son said that he passed away quickly, apparently, with not much distress.

T'wit was one of our earliest members and was a tireless worker for Life and Liberty. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.

Prayers for his family and loved ones.

Godspeed, dear friend.

Please, Father, comfort T’wit’s family and friends.

This is such sad news.

T’wit was a nightly regular at Amy’s Place before he moved from the West Coast. I wanted to find some of his favorite music to post but I’m on a borrowed computer and do not have my bookmarks.

I know that T’wit is enjoying music provided by angels.

Rest in Peace, T’wit.

Amen, and Ahmein... one of my favorite Freepers.

Pleasant journey, old friend.

May the Lord wrap His arms of Love around him, as he walks T’wit through the gates and into His Kingdom for Eternity.

A veteran freeper from the great FR class of '97, T'wit may be gone from these pages but not from our hearts and memories.

I've admired his patriotism, his well-put posts and his classy personal character for almost 10 years.

This news is leaving a big lump in my throat. God love him and welcome him to heaven's FR chapter.

Sitting here stunned and crying since I saw this a few minutes ago, this is such a blow... condolences to his family and friends. T'wit was truly one of the most agile wordsmiths on FR, and righteously fierce in his stand for Terri Schiavo.

I was puzzled by his last post, the reference to a Billy Ray Cyrus lyric, and then realized that it refers to the new tagline he was trying out with that post (which doesn't show on his User Posts page):

All gave some~ Some gave all~ Some stood true for the red, white & blue~ Some had to fall~ Some gave all

T'wit always stood true, FR has suffered a terrible loss.

Rest in peace, T’Wit. Condolences to family and friends.

This has been a very sad weekend here at Free Republic.

But there is surely rejoicing in Heaven.

God bless our two departed Freepers.

Thanks Jim.

We lost a treasure. I always told him he had an angel on his shoulder. Now may he be on ours.

Hopefully, Tim will comfort us soon......

"All gave some~ Some gave all~ Some stood true for the red, white & blue~ Some had to fall~ Some gave all"-- T'wit's last post

Nobody can deny that he did not do that for Terri. That is the way he wanted it.

T’wit understood that Terri’s murder was one of the defining events of our time and he recognized the importance of honoring her memory.
