Bin Laden video coming soon?
65 feet high.
Not sure about the depth.
Hi Hunble! Hope you’re all healed up as best can be expected.
Maybe we should put a shout out on the local MN board. I know Minnesocold travels around a lot.
Just heard from my best friend a couple of minutes ago. Whew!
I'm sure they appreciate your ideas on that. I bet they'll look into it.
And the bad news is, if it did "just collapse", we'll be seeing the politicians falling over each other demanding federal money to replace city bridges. City levees in NO as the precedent.
LOL
Why am I looking at a studio?
Thanks Palladin! Dang...awfully high!!!
Hannity just said Homeland Security says this isn’t terror related—HOW ON EARTH COULD HS KNOW *THIS* SOON?!?!?!?!
Putting on my tinfoil hat—too many bridge collapses lately!!
Prayers going up for all those involved in this tragedy! :*(
This is an interstate highway. It’s not a city bridge. Jurisdiction would be the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
At least they eventually call them as they see them. But it did take them 9 months to determine that the Islamic Cab Driver attack on the Israeli Airline terminal at LAX was Terrorism related.
But look at the good side: We have a new choo-choo train in Minneapolis!
Well hopefully the were able to get down. Tomorrow, the traffic is really going to be screwed up. Most of the state is suffering from drought. What a rotten summer.
Norm Coleman, on Foxnews, just said it wasn’t “an act of God”. He sounds skeptical.
HI
I will put it back on now.
:)
Cute guy
NYC county him down
WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO
NOOOOOOOOOO dont go...
That information might very well be correct...No skin off my back if I am wrong on the whole rivet/bolt issue...
But I look at when it was constructed in 1967, and know that a lot of steel frame structures did go together with nuts and bolts in various patterns depending on the load at that particular juncture...
As for the traffic on one side, I just saw that as well in this discussion...That certainly would put an interesting dynamic load on the structure that it wasn’t stressed for for a great amount of usage or time...
This incident will definitely put a review on traffic plans in the future in regard to bridge use...I’ve always thought that a bridge undergoing a “prolonged” repair or maintenence period should be completely shut down...
Now that may be something to consider after this...
It was about 1800ft that collapsed.
