Bill O'Reilly makes claims about Freerepublic.com to spin us into a right wing hate site.
I think you are right. He cited those lame examples so his audience would check this out. Exactly, what sanitized world would he have us live in anyway? If there was no one who ever said these things, we wouldn’t be hearing about racism and homophobia all of the time.
I sent a message to Drudge about the “out of context” messages. Its probably not important enough of a news story to get legs, but I figured it wouldnt hurt.
Bill O’Reilly is selling a product - himself.
So he portrays himself as “fair & balanced” even if he has to be a false reporter to do it.
I stopped watching him after he decided to say that the Swift Boat campaign was a smear job.
Last night was just more of the same kind of posturing. It would not have mattered what kristinn had said. BORe had his story and he was sticking to it.
I’ve been following this website for several years and have never seen a comment advocating assasination or out and out racism as described by O’Reilly. I have seen instances where a contributor has gotten out of line only to get straightened out by a majority of contributors. At first blush this looks like a “set-up” by O’Reilly and his underlings.

I’ve never seen things that bad on this site, and I’ve been on and off for about 3 years. It’s ashame that the freerepublic representative wasn’t given ample time to defend us. Bill was too busy kissing up to Ford to be fair.

I listened to it on the radio at work - in an obstetric labor and delivery unit. The docs told the patients to chill (in a manner of speaking) until the bout was over. LOL!
I just watched the you tube vid and came to the same conclusion. Actually. Hold it. No. What Bill wants (and gets) are teevee ratings. So he stirs up crap and takes a position. He's a total fraud.

You and me both. The “magical” punch. Even on black and white re-runs it was pretty clear that Listin must have caught a shock wave from Clay’s swing. Because it didn’t look like anything else hit him.

Calling someone a hater is a simple means of discrediting them. The same thing was tried with Rush Limbaugh long ago.
I believe we should simply ignore O’Reilly’s comments. This forum is already self-consoring, and we have no where near the vile content of KOS or DU.
Me either, tho I don't read EVERY post. I've also never seen anything about Hillary! being caught by a stray bullet. A stray tomatoe maybe!

O’Reilly of all people should know all about how things like this can get taken out of context and misunderstood.
Kind of like when he got sued for sexual harrassment and was made to “seem” like a phone-sex addict. He settled that out of court so, sure, there’s nothing to that. Right.
And undoubtedly here is the thread where O'Reilly got his "Homosexuals are dogs" comment.
There's not much you can do with dishonest people like O'Reilly except to call them liars. O'Reilly is a liar.... and a dog.
