Kristinn,
Thank you for defending us. He didn’t let you talk because he couldn’t afford it.
I hope he’ll be reading the truth below.
Mr. O’Reilly,
Your attacks on the “Internet, blogs and message boards” started sometime ago and I heard you shouting: The Internet is out of control! The truth is that the Internet is out of YOUR control. The reason was you have been shown in a very bad light, which you have to take responsibility for.
The lefty sites talked about your juvenile phone sex to and sexual harassment of one of your subordinates. I’m not going to re-embarrass you with the salacious details, which you undoubtedly know better than anybody else. You threatened to fight the woman in question tooth and nail but you ended up hushing it up quickly through a huge monetary settlement, which proved that the phone sex tapes existed and that your spin didn’t work.
The lefty sites were vicious because they thought you are a conservative and at the time, they had nothing juicy to bash conservatives with.
Now comes the “Fair and Balanced” fairy tale. By playing an Independent, you had to mix the Left with the Right and bash them both. That is what got us in the present situation.
Mr. O’Reilly,
Just be honest with yourself and think about painting everybody with the same filthy, wide brush. Look at your own program, who are your guests and interviewees? 90 % are FOX staff or contributors. You’re using Geraldo to prop up your program. One thing I have to give Geraldo, although I disagree with him on most subjects, he stood his liberal grounds with you and refused to submit to your fake bullying tactics. If you upset him, uh oh, that’s another liberal who’ll refuse to talk to you and join the bunch whom you plead with (I’ll be nice, just come, etc.) One of them will always keep coming back, your buddy Al Sharpton! Have you ever tried to ask him or remind him of the Tawana Brawley case when his moral hypocrisy shines? Of course not, you can’t because a bird in hand is better than ten on the tree!
I can go on and on about your hypocrisy but I think you got the message; not everyone’s IQ is negative and that this Internet site IS under the owners’ control.
Remember, every time I hear you attacking the “out of control Internet” I, for one, know exactly what you mean: I didn’t do it, honest, vicious rumors from evil people, etc.
Muddying the waters and stepping on people to defend your scandalous behavior wont cut it. Face yourself and act your age, for a change.
Did you guys see this article before going on?

Ouch! You guys should be ashamed”
Did you see the 6 comments that follow the article? Vile, vulgar and disgusting, as usual, by the “progressives”. Makes FR look like angels on a cloud.
LOL!!
ABBO ???
Anybody But Bill O’Reilly ???
Saw you on O’Reilly tonight, Kristinn — great job. But some of your answers were a bit hard to hear because Mr. O’Reilly was talking over you quite a bit.
O’R talks over everybody! We watch Glenn Beck now.
My wife and I crack up when Glenn lets people yammer on and makes the talky hand puppets on the other screen that his guests can't see.
Or if you want to understand how the left views issues that face African Americans? Ask liberals how they perceive the comments made by Bill Cosby to try and better America?
What liberals "hate" is having African Americans and Gays admit their Republicans. Maybe that is the real "hate".
Yes, he does talk over most people, if not everyone, and it gets to be annoying sometimes. But I still watch him. I also enjoy Glenn Beck.
I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong. — Abraham Lincoln
When there is a lack of honor in government, the morals of the whole people are poisoned. There is no such thing as a no-man’s land between honesty and dishonesty. Our strength lies in spiritual concepts. It lies in public sensitiveness to evil. Our greatest danger is not from invasion by foreign armies. Our dangers are that we may commit suicide from within by complaisance with evil, or by public tolerance of scandalous behavior. — President Herbert Hoover.
Hatred is the coward’s revenge for being intimidated. — George Bernard Shaw
Kristinn, thanks for being The Man In The Arena.
I’ve just read that whole thread from the screencap ... and I can’t find one offensive post.
What I see him doing is the same thing he did with the Swiftboat Vets ..... falsely inferring MORAL EQUIVALENCY between the Dems and Pubbies. It’s his brand of triangulation .. then he can freely attack both sides and say they’re both equally bad. Stunningly poor judgement from BOR.
I appreciate you speaking on behalf of FR and you did an excellent job, but I honestly don’t care what Bill O’Reilly (or his audience) thinks. He should thank you for getting me to watch his show tonight. LOL
Disney's site has pigs on it... Muslims managed to get "Piglet" images from Winnie-the-Pooh banned from workplaces in England, as well as the Union Jack flag, which is no longer allowed to be flown on private homes in London, since the Muslim neighbors might be offended at this "symbol of the Crusades."
Next time mention that on EVERY post there is an abuse button available, no foul language, and not only are hate posts deleted but people get banned. I just could not believe that O’Reilly held FRee Republic up as a hate site of the right. Unbelievable. FOX News hosts love FR!
But Bill has a BIG ego and has been nutty for quite a while... throw a book in a toilet and go to JAIL? Get over yourself, Bill! I love the Bible but I would not want someone who threw it in water (or anything else) to go to jail. And the man who was being chased by police is certainly not responsible for 2 over-eager news helicopters crashing into each other for pete’s sake.
PS. JimRob, since FR is such a “hate” site can I now cuss out dopey Bill O’Reilly? (Just kidding)
I'll never get over the blown opportunity back in 1998 when the Demos foolishly posted online the phone-in number and passcode for a multimedia press conference. A Freeper posted the numbers on a thread. It could have been a landmark moment if an unsuspecting Clintonoid spin jockey could be blindsided by one of many questions the MSM wouldn't dare ask. Instead, a few idiots spoiled it all by holding the phone to a flushing toilet, belching, and shouting "FreeRepublic.com."
As intense as things got around here among ourselves during disputes regarding Pat Buchanan, Terri Schiavo, Trent Lott, and assorted Ann Coulter outrages, that's the most angry I've ever been at other Freepers.
O’Reilly’s off hand comment about “just hire a full time person” is so typical of someone with a network staff & paycheck... I’d rather give JimRob a raise. And I’m proud of how FReepers contribute money & time to keep this site working...
Tammy Bruce is hot and smart.
(wait...is expressing appreciation for a woman’s physical appearance also hate speech? I know it can get you fired in corporate America.)
Predictable, I think!
I like O’Reilly a lot of the time. I think he tries hard to be fair most of the time. And, I think he tends to lean toward a conservative, personally responsible perspective MOST of the time.
But, he can be kind of jerky at times . . . and he can at least come across as overly full of himself. Though he’s infinitely more humble than Scuba Teddy or Micahel Moore or Shrillery or . . .

The Hoove was a real humanitarian, a great man and an American to be proud of. Too bad the Rooseveltian politico/media cult tagged him with the Great Depression he had little to do with making.
