The Manchester, N.H., Republican Committee has come up with a unique way of raising funds.
It is hosting a "Machine Gun-Shoot" fund-raiser where, for $25, donors will be allowed to fire Uzis and M-16s.
"It's a fun day. It's a family day," said organizer Jerry Thibodeau. "It's quite exciting."
Democrats charge the event is in poor taste.

If ya got the bucks, you can shoot just about every kind of automated gun there is. Plus flame throwers, sniper rifles, etc.
You just watch. There will be as many wing nut Dems lining up to fire fully automatic weapons as there are conservative Republicans.
The dems always say one thing and do another when it comes to firearms. Gun control should apply to everyone else except the democrat individual, according to their logic.

Hello all...Rick Olson here, one of the organizers for the Manchester GOP Machine Gun Shoot event. Thank you for your support and encouragment in this undertaking. To the guy who says “this does not hold a candle to Knob Creek? Yeah, I agree, but you can’t have everything...LOL. Through all the press this event has gotten, Not one dummycrap has attempted to raise even the hint of an intellectual argument against this event...which, while disagreeing, I could at least respect. All they have done is used this as a punchline, and an opportunity to engage in some good old fashioned name-calling. The fact is, they have thrown their best at us (if that is it) and our only concern now is that our event turnout will be double or triple what we anticipated. we might run out of ammo! scarry!(not a bad concern to have!)This event has outed the RINO’s in our midst as well. There is nothing like sharp focus being brough to bear.
If I suggested somehting like this to what calls itself the leadership of hte Republican party around here they would mess themselves.
Just remember to post the press release for events like this on FR. Lots of people who are nearby might want to attend the event.
Thanks! The event will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Pelham F&G Club. 10-4. What is so hillarious is how the Dems are attacking this event...Not a lick of substance...just a bunch of shrill name calling and a whole lot of handwringing. Its all pretty funny to watch.
