HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) A woman screaming youre not a real conservative, sir was removed by police from a welcoming reception for likely GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson Wednesday morning. A second protester was also taken from the room.
Houston police officers escorted the woman as well as a man from the hangar at Hobby Airport, where Thompson was shaking hands with a crowd of supporters. They were not arrested.
The woman questioned Thompson as he talked to reporters. She asked him why he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and noted that the organization supported the North American Union with Canada and Mexico.

Everyone and their mother is a memeber of CFR. It’s like being in the “Who’s Who in High School” book.
Pay your dues and your in.
Whoopie!

So, did Mr. Thompson ever respond?

The question was about his membership in CFR? He addressed that - it is a think-tank Was that the response, or was there more?

I for one would be very interested in his answer and even more interested in why he would choose to not answer. Are you interested in his answer enough to listen to it? Kimberly GG posted the video at post #68. The woman asked a question and interjected a secondary question in the middle of it. He answered the first question (the part about being a member of CFR) and dismissed the secondary question. CFR is a think-tank much like AEI and several others. It has no regulatory power and any "plans" it has for NAU or anything else are of no more or less importance than the plans or proposals of any other think-tank.
When she started in with the whole WTC-7 was an inside job nonsense she made Fred look even smarter with his decision to dismiss the whole CFR's plans for NAU part of her question.
By the way, thanks Kimberly for posting the video at post #68.
To: libbylu
And she is a nut because? Because she buys into the loony-left conspiracy theories about the WTC attack being an inside job.
To: blaquebyrd
Don’t expect any answers here. Fred has not figured out what he believes yet, and his fan club will only resort to juvenile attacks on your motives for asking the question.

Don’t expect any answers here That's funny, it comes after about 12 posts copying his answer and the context and even a video clip of him giving the answer..

Why does everyone assume it's a Ron Paulite? I could be a supporter of any of the candidates, Dem or Repub, or even a lone nutcase? Because RP is a nutter. She could indeed be a lone nutter but chances are that she is for a Republican candidate since she is interested in the depth of his conservativism.

I understand your position.
However, I have a basic question.
Do you think the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has America's best interest in mind?

and his fan club will only resort to juvenile attacks on your motives for asking the question. Really? How many responses have their been to the question? How many of them either cite his answer or refer to the video in which he answered the question? How many of them could be characterized by even the most thin-skinned as "juvenile attacks" rather than an attempt to provide the answer to the question?
To: fetal heart beats by 21st day
Your post, ignoring the response, seems to
corroborate that she was a Romney plant.
welcome to FR, newbie.
Perhaps you and the other RomneyBOTs can answer why
Romney is sooooooo afraid of Thompson, anyway.

Do you think the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has America's best interest in mind? It depends on who hires them to research an issue or create policy papers. If Haiti asks the CFR to research and write a policy paper on improving trade with the Dominican Republic, then they will have Haiti's best interest in mind.... They do not make or enact laws, they are a think tank.
