Ping to a few people, apologies if you have already seen this, and thanks to Thunder90 for the original ping as well...

MIT-Elephant said; "Breaking news from the late 1930’s."

Exactly my thoughts on this...

From the article, "[Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski stated] Or is it [the threats from Russia] something serious that we need to take into consideration -- do we have to take care and be afraid? So far it's too early to answer this."

Forgive me as I'm not in the military or diplomatic relations, but I believe it is not too early to take threats from a man like Putin seriously. Should we let it deter us? No, definitely not. However, I hope this is rhetoric as well and that behind closed doors our military and their advisors are taking it seriously. [I would also seriously hope that despite his "friendship" with Putin -- you know, the whole "I've looked into his eyes" stuff -- that Bush is at the very least extremely cautious about trusting him...]

With Putin making alliances with Syria, Iran, Venezuela, China, etc.. etc... I seriously see a pattern developing in these actions and it's not good, IMHO. Call me paranoid -- as I'm sure some who show up on this thread will -- but I think it could spell a heap of trouble for the U.S. and other freedom-loving nations and peoples if we DON'T take this seriously.

[I personally would like at the very least to see a little more effort on reinforcing our infrastructure (manufacturing, and other necessities we currently are importing from China), as well as strengthening our own security here at home (increasing border patrols, building the security fence, or whatever it takes to assure we are not allowing foreign combatants onto our soil -- after all we are at war!). Even if I'm wrong, it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least try to ensure that we are capable of maintaining our strength should we find ourselves in a worse position than we are already.]

Putin not only threatens but carries out his neo-Stalinist threats, as in the case of Estonia, Georgia, plus numerous Russian reporters who used to be critical of of his dictatorial réegime and are now dead.

Here are some hypothetical questions relating to Poland and the three Baltic states relating to Putin's dictatorship:

What if Putin ordered Russian tank divisions to invade all four independent nations. Would there be a swift, united NATO response forcing a Russian withdrawal?

If Iran & Syria, two rouge terrorist exporting states, which Moscow supports with all sorts of military hardware, were to trigger war with Israel, in conjunction with Iran attacking oil tankers in the Persian Gulf as a diversion, what would the West's reaction be, if while the Middle & Near East are going up in flames, Israeli cities are being rocketed by Hezballah terrorists based in southern Lebanon with rocket launchers supplied to Syria by Russia and all of a sudden Russia invades Eastern Poland (as Moscow did in 1939) coupled with Russian naval forces effectively blockading the three Baltic states - until Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania fully accept Putin's demands.

It's all so reminiscent of a previous era when Finland was being invaded & bombed by the Russians in 1939 and finally the brave Finns were forced to relinquish Finnish territory at the end of the Winter War, a war the Russians paid dearly for starting, as well as the defending Finns. After Russia's aggression and theft of Finish soil, it was eastern Poland turn to be jointly invaded not just by Moscow but by Berlin too, then the Baltic states fell to the Russian communist horde and the wholesale murders started by the NKVD, coupled with thousands deported, one way to the frozen hell of Siberia.

How would the White House and Number 10 react to the Kremlin's blatant aggression in Eastern Europe, without going nuclear?

You can bet Putin and his KGB thugs are pondering these 'possibilities', while we are combating Russian supported Iranian and Syrian trained terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Keep in mind also, how many of the jihadi terrorists were trained by KGB, most of the leaders, Arafat was, Zawahiri was and many more.

Stay alert and prepared, read the communist manifesto that I posted here and you see the entire plan.
