I think my record is about 50/50 for encouraging continuing the pregnancy, judging from the people I never hear from again and those that I do.
You called Fred a coward, I think he has stood up to most people who have tried to bring him down, look what he did against Michael Moore, now that takes guts. Yeah I agree I would have liked to see Fred in the debates as well.
If he gets in and doesn’t stand up to the test the media and folks like you are going give him, then I am voting for Duncan Hunter. But I will NOT vote for Romney in the primarys no matter how much you think he rocks.
"Sour grapes make terrible whine"
Saundra Duffy's awfully huffy ~
gambled on her Mitt.
Prob'ly lost a lost of money,
sour because of it.
Meanwhile Fred is way ahead,
to Saundra's cold chagrin.
Fred has no need to buy his creds ~
thats why he's going to win.
These idiots just don’t get it. Thompson’s activities which may be perceived as “pro-choice” happened before he became a Senator. His actual record of governance as it pertains to the abortion issue is almost 100% pro-life. His earlier relationship with this pro-choice group is made irrelevant by his excellent pro-life record.
The group he worked for according to their website did not support him when he was in the Senate, and thats really the only place it matters.
It’s a poet you are! Well done!
No, no, no! Don’t you see?? Thompson’s is the one instance where actions have no significance.
Bravo! Very clever.
Thank you, too, dear Clara Lou “;^)
Inspired by your terrific tag ~ thanks!
Dear Clara Lou,
Perhaps we know each other then. I, too, have been in the trenches for many years. Like you, I have watched prolifers fall for some very smooth talkers. I have learned from that experience to examine their records-very carefully, and then, to look at their records in light of the state in which they were running and the sentiments of the location.
If someone publicly claims to be prolife when they run in Massachusetts or New York, I would say that requires courage. If they claim to be prolife in Tennessee or South Carolina, maybe they are, and maybe they aren’t. Only a fool would claim to be in favor of abortion in those states.
I remember when Pataki was promising prolifers in NY that he was really prolife, and taking their money, while he told the media “abortion was between a woman and her doctor.” A lot of good, decent people believed Pataki. He immediately asserted his new “pro-choice” views upon election.
I respect what you have said (and your lack of slur, inuendo, etc., in saying it). On this issue, I go by what FDT has DONE in office and the life he leads now. I refuse to take his comments out of context. I don’t think he’s perfect (any more than I am). I respect his intelligence, his thought, 97% of his record. I respect his late-in-life interest in the presidency for himself. I respect his electability.

At least it wasn’t Planned Parenthood that support abortions/killing babies.
**it may have had nothing to do with abortion. The above indicates other services.**
Absolutely! Maybe they help women get pregnant!
Fair enough, and if he runs, I really hope you’re right.
I just don’t come to the same conclusion when I look at the whole picture.
God is good. I was always grateful when He let me know He’d used me. We went to a wedding—oh my goodness! today is the first anniversary(!!)—last year of a “save”. It was the only baby the young woman (who later became my roommate and friend) was able to have.
Nor does it appear as though any of his clients ever gave him some cattle future information.
Lot's of people who support — or at least take a permissive or indifferent attitude toward the culture of death — have children of their own. What's your point?
Only somewhat, but I like what I've seen. I noticed in some revelations about Duke Cunningham that came out yesterday that Hunter was one of the people who tried to thwart Duke's patronage to the people bribing him. I thought that spoke very well of Hunter.
I said I'd vote Libertarian because polls right now show Thompson and Giuliani in the lead. Primary polling tends to be the least predictive from what I've seen, so let's hope a better candidate emerges.
Oh, OK, why did Fred T believe that Clinton did not lie under oath during impeachment proceedings. What was his reason for voting that there was no perjury when everyone with half a brain knows there was?
This is why I say he helped get Clinton off the hook during impeachment.
