A more perfect union?

The real reason behind President Bush's push for immigration reform, says author Jerome R. Corsi, is to unite the United States, Mexico and Canada by erasing borders and creating a "North American Union."

That is the theme of Mr. Corsi's new book, "The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada," which says the Bush administration's "globalist agenda" is leading to a merger of the countries through the implementation of policies and laws to open trade barriers and renovate the highway systems in anticipation of increased travel within the new megastate.

Mr. Corsi said a growing number of Americans think the North American Union is being forced onto Americans. Government officials say the idea is no more than an unjustified conspiracy theory spread through the Internet.

Mr. Corsi said the impetus of the plan was the creation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, announced by leaders of the United States, Mexico and Canada at Waco, Texas, in 2005.

The White House-led partnership is a trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity through greater cooperation and information sharing, according to the SPP's Web site (www.spp.gov).

The SPP is not a treaty or agreement, but the Web site calls it a dialogue among the countries and their leaders.

Totalization Agreement . . . another good thing.

The Totalization Agreement made with Mexico is NOT the same as it is for the other 20 countries. For Mexico, they have made special, extra, credits for work years. The Hayworth Amendment was to try to remove the extra special status that now exists with Mexico. I believe it either went nowhere or was defeated.

You obviously don't understand how the government is incrementally apportioning and preparing to confiscate private lands to set up the corridor via eminent domains, recently strengthened by KELO will and is effecting private landholders in all the sectors/areas mentioned.

This study is for the purposes of the two countries unifying electric usage. Why would two sovereign countries be unifying electric production and usage? We should not be attempting to find ways to become DEPENDENT upon another country for scarce and critical resources. That is already proven to be a failure in the Middle East, why would we want to ingratiate our country's electrical needs with a proven corrupt government?

We are already sending to Mexico BILLIONS of dollars. Why should U.S. taxpayer dollars being funneled into a corrupt government be INCREASED? Mexico is obviously already NOT spending the monies it's been receiving properly. Why should the US taxpayers be burdened with paying for building up Mexico at all? Mexico is a sovereign country and makes BILLIONS every year from its own revenues, this is not accounting for monies being sent to Mexico by illegals here. Why hasn't and isn't Mexico being held to account for the monies it's already been sent? What has it done with that money? Why is it STILL SUCH A MESS? Because IT'S CORRUPT. I don't want another DIME being sent to Mexico, which is doing nothing but teaching its citizens how to come here illegally and injecting itself into US courts of law so that Border Patrol agents are prosecuted, i.e., Campean and Ramos, for one.

Much of this is going to private facilities, apparently some are friends of the Bush regime. It's big money now to start up prisons by private companies and get paid by the government. As more illegals are arrested, prisons are becoming overcrowded. Private prisons, for profit, are now being shifted to house U.S. citizens, FOR PROFIT. It's never been a better time to make money in private prisons. If there were less illegals in our prisons, the strain would not be as severe. Allowing illegals to stay in this country is helping the private prisons make money. I have a problem with that.

And you're crazy. This is to help "equalize", READ: SOCIALIZE, the three countries. Various documents state that for the NAU to occur, first what must happen is to EQUALIZE the three countries economically.

Okay, after visiting several websites, I found that I was not aware of some disparities, such as the 10 yrs. vs. 24 years vesting issue. HOWEVER, this agreement has to be sent to Congress and in the 2 1/2 years since it was signed, this has not been done and given the opposition to it in Congress, it's just not going to happen. I checked on Hayworth's bill and that particular one is stuck in committee, HOWEVER, his amendment to HR 3010 just passed(with some changes) and that prevents a Social Security totalization agreement with Mexico so I believe that renders your whole argument moot. So...I learned something and you learned something...that is what debate is about.

NAFTA Highway: The jury is still out on whether this is myth or fact. In reference to KELO, the Govt. has been using eminent domain since the early 1900's...they are just getting more aggressive now since KELO, so many states have now passed their own eminent domain laws to protect citizens against abuse, as they should. The veto by Rick Perry on the Texas bill is one reason I consider him a traitor, the other is his toll road crap. As to the word "soveriegnty" I NEVER said you used that word, you apparently have taken something out of context, I merely said it doesn't affect soveriegnty, which is a measure I use when making my decisions about such matters.

About the studies...where do you get that it is for unifying electrical usage? I read the whole text of the bill and it is talking about impact studies on auquifers. As far as the fence goes {Sigh}, as usual, some people just love to put words in other people's mouths when it comes to that issue. I NEVER said I was not for a fence, I am just not as delusional as some on here are about it, I realize that it is the Dems that are holding this up:

On tax incentives...do you even bother to read the text of these bills...the incentives are for US citizens, no money is going to Mexico under that bill.

On consumer protection, it just keeps banks from gouging legal aliens and residents with high fees for sending money out of the country. Do you favor gouging legal aliens and residents? I hope not. Maybe they could have put a stipulation in there about illegals, but if they did, it probably wouldn't have passed.

On detention beds, you can't have it both ways. If you want these people detaineed and deported, that means more beds are needed. Otherwise, we are back to catch and release. As to private prisons, I don't see a problem with that if they can be run more efficiently. So what if someone makes money off of it...it is one less bureacracy the FedGov has hands in.

As for the Mexican border patrol, they will be assisting by guarding THEIR side of the border so that illegals won't make it to OUR side of the border. They aren't going to be on US property, so I don't understand where you are coming from on this.

On the North American Investment Fund Act, you can "read" it any way you want, but I don't have to agree with your assessment, especially in light of the fact that you consistently "read" nefarious intent into many issues, intent that is just not there.

The bills I posted are excerpts. They are not ALL the bills pertaining to these issues. Had I not read them, then why would I post them? Obviously I have, or I could NOT have spoken concerning them, at all. That some are related to studies, that some are related to tax incentives, and that some have to do with prisons, does not mean they are not, indeed, promoting or helping with the promotion of a particular CAUSE. Obviously, if the end goal is the North American Union, there are HUNDREDS of issues that must be put into place before that can ever happen. That these issues seem disconnected and disjointed as a multitude of bills are proposed and passed does not mean they are. Connect the dots. For there to be a North American Union means that the three countries must cooperate with borders, migration, prisons, infrastructure, policing, sharing of resources, and a host of other issues. That they are doing this in piece meal is how they keep people from being able to completely connect the dots. There is absolutely NO reason to be funding a military entity, unaccountable to the US, for Mexico's southern border. In the same breath, they refuse to build up the defenses of our border because "we just can't" or "we don't have enough money." You clearly cannot see behind the smoke screen. That is but one example of the smoke screens in place. As far as the NAFTA highway, that is not a myth. It is a FACT. I've already posted, earlier, maps put out by the Trans Corridor which CLEARLY SHOWS the future plans and links to documents and articles which state how this will be accomplished and specifically, what cities it will be going through. If you wish to believe the government's self-serving propaganda that "it doesn't exist", and refuse to, on the other hand, read the bills that are funding the very highway improvements and infrastructure the NAFTA highway requires, then go ahead and believe the government fairy tales. I'm looking at the green dollar bills that are being allocated toward the funding. In other words, they're putting the money up for this highway, and then telling you the highway doesn't exist. Yeah, right. Funny how there's maps showing you the physical design and description for what "doesn't exist." There are a great many farmers and towns that are right now fighting the confiscation of their properties. Funny how Bush didn't file an amicus brief on behalf of the citizenry, and against government seizure of land in KELO.

That you wish to also treat that as fiction where you have to willingly suspend disbelief is not to your credit.

She talks about the SPP. She said on the US government website, in the propaganda put out by this government regarding the "MYTHS" about the SPP, it claims that this government did not sign any agreement. However, when she went onto the Canadian government website, its government said, yes, indeed, there most certainly was a SIGNED agreement.

She said that's just one of the lies put forth by this government concerning the SPP.

She talks about NAFTA, violations of the NAFTA by signing the SPP. That Bush "commanded every single branch in the executive branch" to "create ministers"...who are going to "work with their counterparts in Canada and Mexico to rewrite all of our regulatory laws"...and "touches every facet in this country that touches you and yours"...being done behind closed doors, secret meetings...in violation of our Constitution, they are supposed to bring these agreements before Congress" from which it is to receive a 2/3 majority vote to be approved...."but they are not doing that."

Also touches on the EU linking up with the NAU. The "Transatlantic Integration Agreement," signed by Bush, the German Chancellor, and Jose Manuel Barroz (sp?). Supposed to be an "economic boost and investment" to "HARMONIZE THE REGULATORY STANDARDS" to create this market. Tasked to creating regulatory convergence between the US and EU in public property areas, including intellectual property rights....Implementing the RFID, Radio Frequency. Bio-based products (genetically modified)....

"Bush creating a cabinet level" position for this, without ratification by Congress...bypassing Congress, violating our Constitution, for that to be done.....

Judicial Watch filed FOIA and got some documents of the VANFF meeting (high level officials from US, Canada, and Mexico in a secret meeting in Canada)..Lou Dobbs has discussed this ....one document says creating the NAU by "incrementally stealth".

A comparison of the EU and how it was created and the NAU and how it is being created: The EU started out first as the Coal and Steel Free Trade Agreement in 1951. Out of that it morphed into being called the European Economic Community. It then morphed into being called the Common Market. That morphed into the European Union. A single currency called the EURO.

We have the North American Free Trade Agreement 1994. Ours is being called the North American Community. NAFTA has morphed into being called the Security and Prosperity Partnership. Connie Vogel, head of Canadian Action Party, claims that the AMERO has already been created and is sitting in a bank vault in our country.

Believes there will be a trigger coming about to put this all into effect. There's a bit more discussed than this.
