Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
My pleasure--I enjoyed watching it again myself! :) I am just astonished that GWB took criticism for that! He was so very obviously having a good time at the General's expense--all in good fun. Oh well.
A SATURDAY UPDATE . . .

Another incisive commentary by Mark Noonan:
THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT BACK DOWN
“. . . 2008 doesn’t matter; the poltiical gamesmanship of the Democrats doesn’t matter - all that matters is winning and I do believe that only President Bush has the courage to see such a thing through. Good and great as some of the Presidential aspirants are, the plain fact of the matter is that it takes rare courage to go on as President Bush has - as I’ve said before, it will take some time before we fully appreciate how great a President he has been...but I’ll also bet that whomever comes next, they will be a much smaller person in contrast to President Bush.”

POLLING UPDATE:
Not only was the Democrat-loving AP/IPSOS REID poll forced to admit that the President’s JA rating had actually increased abit while Congress’ JA rating had plummeted to 24%, RASMUSSEN was forced to admit that the President’s JA rating had hit 39% for the second time in a week — mumbling the whole time about statistical noise of course! [FYI: If these two pollsters put the President’s JA rating at 33% and 39% respectively, then we know for certain his actual rating is in the mid 40s — with his PERSONAL APPROVAL rating still in the 60s!]

I know I forgot a few in my TO list - so sorry -
This joke came to me by email and I had to share - it bears repeating...
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old California rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Nancy Pelosi and her elevation to speaker of the house.
The old rancher said, “Well, ya know, Nancy is a post turtle.”
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.
The old rancher said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a post turtle.”
The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get there by himself, he doesn’t belong there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, and you just want to help the dumb animal get down.”
