Before you answer, stop and consider a few contrasts and comparisons:
1. Who advocates and practices female genital mutilation on little girls - GW Bush or the Muslim world?
2. Who advocates honor killings for female family members who have the audacity to be rape victims - GW Bush or the Muslim world?
3. Who forbids women from going to school, working outside the home, driving a car, or even leaving the house unless accompainied by a male family member - GW Bush or the Muslim world?
4. Who publicly puts a bullet through the back of the head of a woman in a stadium for simply violating the oppressive standards of radical wahabbism - GW Bush or the Muslim world?
The fact that a Nobel Laureat would speak at a conference purportedly interested in International Women's Peace and make such hateful statements about my President and in the same breath say that the Muslim world is suffering because of him simply shows what a complete joke and disgrace the Nobel Prize committee has become. Regardless of what any of us think about GWB, there is no doubt he has been kinder, friendlier, more tolerant and supportive of legislation and military action that benefits muslims than people like Ms. Williams.
Now, there are many who might say that is a fault of GWB and not an asset, but you correctly place them side by side in comparison mode, and your analysis is undeniably true.

The ONLY reasons the “Muslim World” is “suffering” is becaue they:
A: Will not stop the most “radical” among them from trying to conquor the world and impose Sharia. Of course, these “radicals” are only following the Hadiths and Koran. The “Moderate Muslims” must either stand up to these “radicals” or only hold themselves to blame when the West defends itself.
B: Will not look at themselves seriously and acknowledge that THEY, not the Jews or anyone in the West, are the reason why the “Muslim World” is “suffering”. The “Muslim World” has a huge ammount of natural resources, infrastructure (built by the West thank you very much), and potential yet the people are beyond poor and many are uneducated in anything but religious fanaticism.
C: Work to actually CREATE and progress, not revert back to the 7th century.
D: Muslim Immigrants to “Dar al Hab” MUST assimilate into those societies, not try to conquer them through colonization as in Londen, France, and several US cities.
E: Islam must reform and rid itself of the “duty” to impose its religion by force, rule the “kuffer”, impose taxes/demand tribute from them, must close the Madrasses, and grant women actual freedoms. BTW, where are the feminists and so-called “progressives” when it comes it Islamic womens’ rights and why do I hear crickets?
When they do this, then the “Muslim World” will stop suffering. If the “Muslim World” continues on its quest for global domination and subjegation of all other religions and peoples, then they will suffer.
