He’s got the issue people care about.

and that seeking the overturn of Roe v Wade is not good enough.

Why would that be "good enough"? Most of the 3 to 5 thousand American babies that are being horrifically dismembered and killed every day now would still be destroyed even if Roe were overturned, especially if the entire basis for overturning Roe, and for outlawing it everywhere, has been abandoned by the very people who claim to be "pro-life."

You know what they about one definition of insanity: Doing the same thing you've always done and expecting a different outcome every time.

So you think George Soros types being free to buy the Oval Office is a good thing?

McCain/Feingold was a typical “compromise” bill, a bad end to a good idea.

But to make your comment without researching Thompson's full position on the matter is irresponsible.

His ideas are not the same as your ideas, but they are like Mary Matalin’s.

Well no one sent me the memo! I’m a bot, need the info! :P

Whatever, I happen to know and like Rep. Hunter and supported him before Thompson entered ( er.. well you know what I mean) the race. If familyop wants to be a hysterical, screaming, representative worshiper, that’s his right.

We might as well go into this with our eyes wide open. Thompson is not perfect, and I refuse to deny the truth in an effort to gain power. Still, he beats Rudy McRomney and remains on my can-vote-for list. The deal-breaker for me will be if he picks a mod or a waffle for VP. I would move towards being very enthusiastic if he were to choose a J.C. Watts or Michael Steele.

“New information uncovered by the Los Angeles Times indicates that Thompson has lobbied on behalf of an abortion rights organization.”

News flash to the author, this has already been debunked! What conservative would believe the LAT? Heck I heard Dan Rather on CBS say that Bush was AWOL from the National Gaurd, I guess because Dan and CBS says its true its true right? They also had paperwork to prove it!

And they were right.... GWB was the most conservative who could win, to run in 2000 and he was a damn site better than Algore or John Kerry Heinz...

Thompson is to the right of Bush and again the most conservative who can win in the race.

I like and supporter Hunter until I saw he was not able to lead a winning national campaign, at which point I joined the Draft Fred movement and hoped Fred would respond.

It’s important to me as well. I think Hunter is an outstanding candidate, and will make an outstanding president. I’d like to see him as the Republican nominee, but I would also be thrilled if we were to see a Thompson/Hunter ticket this time around. Then, in four or eight years, Hunter can run again and blast through the competition for another eight years.

Thompson is to the right of Bush

Are you sure? I don't think he is. He's hiring Mary Matalin.
