Well both President Bushes have had problems with their kids doing illegal stuff, and I bet Chelsea did some bad things as well. It's almost a given that if you're famous a relative will probably embarrass you.

The thing I took away from Gore's kid is that somebody got a Prius to go faster than 70 mph, because I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.

Actually I’d say the opposite - Al Gore II is not responsible for the actions of his grown adult son. I expect the same treatment if a Republican’s son does something similar, long after his parents set him free.

He must've done it in the early am. Those San Diego freeways are so crowded, you're lucky if you are moving at 10 mph most times.......

Al Gore has his priorities straight! Meredith got it all straight on the Today Show. Immediately after saying he was dealing privately with his son (who could have killed someone on a public road), Al said the climate was the biggest threat to civilization.

I feel like waging a jihad on Al II & III’s ass.

Funny, anything that the Bush twins did wrong was a PUBLIC matter. In fact, I was reading an article yesterday about Gore III and the writer couldn’t resist bringing up the fact that Jenna was caught with a fake ID years ago. I guess that negative reports on Democrats are not issued from the press without an equal bashing of Bush and his family.

This isn’t a young kid. I’m sure he’s got a “report card” with a lot of checkmarks in the “Does Not obey the rules”.

Private matter? Like Mary Cheney? Like Jeb Bush’s daughter?

Thanks Child. My thoughts as well - glad I read forward first.

I wonder if AlGore will ask Bush for a “pardon” for his son?

It would be amusing if President Bush pardoned him out of the blue. The Dims would have a fit trying to figure out what to say about pardons. (Do I need to say I don't want this to happen?)

Who cares about those pesky speed limits and drug laws when you’re fighting the good fight against global warming!

Nothing will happen to AG III. And I find if sad that while he considers what is happening to his son is worthy of treatment, AG, Jr., is spending time on GMA vice being with his son.

He’ll go to a clinic for rehab (Health Spa) like that other clown Dem Congressman that got stopped and the publicity will be cut off. No fine, no prison, no community time, NO RECORD!!

This is the guy who was almost killed in a car accident when he was a kid. He has been a problem since. I suspect he is not 100% in the head because of the incident, and I feel sorry for him, if thats the case.

Still shouldn't be driving at 105 mph with drugs in the car.

Does anyone remember the glee with which Jeb Bush's daughter was reported on when it was reported that she tried to get some Xanax?

An arrest is not a “private” matter. It is completely public. Nor was he acting out in private, but on a public street.

lol. The Prius just got some very good publicity. Junior Gore needs jail time for this. If Paris can take it, so can Junior. I’m pro grass legalization but with strict laws about driving and age limits. GoreyJr, don’t do the fine if you can’t do the time.

Ah, now Algor is all for "secret arrests and trials".

For "under the influence" and driving to endanger, no less.

I don't believe he said that Bush's DUI decades ago was a "private family matter" shortly before the 2000 elections, did he?

I wonder if he thinks the same thing about someone under the influence of islam, and is driving a car bomb to endanger people is also a "private family matter"?
