Likely presidential candidate Fred Thompson (R) released this statement: "I am very happy for Scooter Libby. I know that this is a great relief to him, his wife and children. While for a long time I have urged a pardon for Scooter, I respect the President's decision. This will allow a good American, who has done a lot for his country, to resume his life."

Well said Fred!
ping
The more I read what Fred says or hear what he says, the more support I have for Fred!
Well said. I would like to hear what the witch has to say.
Can’t wait for 2008, although I’m a Hunter fan, Mr. Thompson is looking good. (I sure home neither Romney, nor Giuliani, get the nomination nod)
Next, how about pardons for those two border patrol agents Ramos and Compean?
You can't hear the shrieking where you are??? Ye gods, man, she's squealing and howling like a dry crank bearing at 4,000rpm!
Make that read what the witch ... I cannot stand her voice.
But unlike that bearing, she won’t seize up. She’ll just keep screeching.
"...blah blah blah culture of corruption blah blah blah partisan politics blah blah blah crooked politicians blah blah..."
Good job Freddy (#44)
MSM/AOL poll to freep

Dingy Harry doesn't like it, and neither does Schumer. Both are pissed
If they don’t like it, that’s a GOOD thing.
What Bush did was smart though. Libby can appeal his conviction without spending time in prison, and if he's exonerated, the MSM/Dims can't whine about Bush "supporting corruption blah blah" because the system will work. If the conviction holds, Bush will just pardon him before he leaves office.
This is the Bush I remember and love, the poker-playing, Texas Bush.

Hate to give AOL the hits, but W is just right on this
It's noteworthy that she ducked the question about two weeks ago with Chrissy Matthews.
Good point. Actually, if Obama is smart, he should have someone direct a question about Libby specifically to Hillary at the next Democrat debate. He could score some serious points with the socialist-thugs wing of the Democrat party if he plays his cards right.
