Leahy says they had RNC email accounts on which they discussed how they were going to manipulate these prosecutors around the country and then they told us they were erased.

How does he know what is in emails he hasn’t seen. This is disgraceful.

This is the most disgraceful appearance by any member of Congress I have ever seen.

Why can’t someone just come out and say that W did not need a reason? They are hired/fired at the prerogarive of the President.

While it is, it’s also becoming all to predictable. msm Sundays = just another Bush-bashing event. Week after week,it gets old. I bet their numbers will continue to decline.

The more I hear Leahy the more I realise how justified the VP was in the language he used and I normally am not one for advocating that sort of language.

Remember when the President was elected and how all the polls said character counts??

All this bs through the years from the Dems is to discredit the President and trust

Which is why they use that line that they follow the "moral highroad" and not the President

The White House needs the kind of rapid response internet video done for Leahy's performance on MTP that Fred produced for Michael Moore's outburst a few weeks ago.  But this White House doesn't believe in fighting back.  They really are trying to "change the tone" and have unilaterally disarmed.

Unfortunately Bush is right, in principle and in an ideal world, and Clinton's "permanent campaign" style of government is one of the big things wrong right now in Washington.  The problems that the Bush administration has encountered as a result of doing the right thing has guaranteed, IMHO, that no president, D or R, will ever play it that way again.
