If you're a die hard Yankee fan, stop reading now. Back away from the computer and go pop in a DVD of Billy Martin's greatest ejections or count those 26 rings. Today's pinstripe performance is not one for the Yankee Pride scrapbook.
It wasn't bad enough that the Yankee team that includes seven all-stars could muster just a single hit against Chad Gaudin and Rich Harden.
It wasn't bad enough that Kei Igawa and Scott Proctor got knocked around like double-wides in a tornado.
It wasn't bad enough that Jeter, A-Rod and Abreu were a combined 0-11 with five strikeouts.
No sir, the Yankees turned up the heat a notch when the game ended. Scott Proctor threw all of his equipment out of the dugout and onto the field. He then proceeded to light it on fire for a little post-game bonfire! Somewhere, there has got to be video of this. Please, I'm begging.
Of course if you or I lit up a potato chip bag,it would be off to jail.
This has to be the one of the greatest things a RedSox fan could ever imagine, I just wish he finished the job.
OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! This team has a salary of about $300 million or something and they’re 11 games out of first! Even
Clemens (1-3, 5.20 ERA, $28 million) can’t help...
Team Hillary at its finest!
ROFL....
Proctor has always sucked, but being used abusively put an end to his short stint of adequacy. At least his pitching coach admits Torre's a serial abuser.
Proctor all fired up
Reliever burns uniform, gear following latest flameout
I demand that Steinbrenner purchase carbon offsets to erase Proctor’s damage to the Earth!
Oh my goodness gracious! Suzyn Waldman’s Yankee-gasm at the announcement of Clemens’ signing:

I can remember the movie, Major League...
Proctor does suck! The Yankees need to be cleaned out just like congress!
I'll tell you how cool - 40 years ago this month they released "Are You Experienced" - people were (and are) agog over Sgt. Peppers (released about same time) but Jimi was LIGHT YEARS ahead of the "oh so priescent" Beatles.
OK, that's it for this morning - Go Sox.
