A car has driven into the terminal building at Glasgow airport and caught fire. More follows...
(Excerpt) Read more at news.sky.com ...
The person being interviewed says that there were “petrol cannisters” in one of the vehicles.
Ruh roh...
Absolutely. It would be one of the most amazing coincidence of all time.
Day after car bomb attempts - two innocent asian men are just driving by the airport with gas for their BBQ (its absolutely pissing it down with rain btw but they don’t care), and all of a sudden a cute little duck walks into the road, they swerve and sadly hit the airport terminal. Not wanting to dissapoint their families, they first think to remove the gas cylinders to save their BBQ, and fight with the awful people trying to help them......
He may have heard that - for a while the reports were conflicting whether they made it into the airport or not. The car didn’t make it very far.
If the guy on CNN is correct - not sure who he is - then it was a botched attack on the airport.
No reports on casualties.
Driver apparently escaped after car crashed and burst into flames.
Witness on Skynews saying car turned to hit the doorway direct. Says he was told it was a terrorist attack. Perp(s) actually had canisters of some type (gas) on their persons and were trying to set the vehicle on fire. 2 men wrestled to ground by public. Had explosing happenes just a few minutes earlier, there would have been many casualities.
Skynews reporter: 1 perp may have caught on fire. No confirmation.
Good notes, guv’nor. And congrats on getting the story on FRbefore our Fox News even had it.
-—person scuffled with police trying to get away-—
These boys need some serious instruction and practice.
1. You don’t scuffle and try to get away. You go up with the bomb for the greater glory of Islam. Your head may end up in the next zip code, however.
2. The car doesn’t “burst into flames”. It blows a 10 foot crater in the concrete and takes down a city block.
I suppose there’s a shortage of veteran instructors for technical reasons, though, and practice can be somewhat limited as well.
Seriously though, I’m surprised these boys haven’t tried and attacks with guns. These citizens aren’t armed. We’re not talking Israel or Montana here.
CNN is saying the same thing now with their witness...
Ahemm....you were saying?
“These citizens arent armed”
or the cops
No probs FRiend.
If eyewitness reports coming from Sky are correct, this appears to be terrorist related. Allegedly the vehicle entered a restricted area around 30MPH where only authorized vehicles are allowed and it is further alleged by witnesses that either the driver or occupants were seen to throw gas onto the vehicle or area around the crash site.
Yeah doesn’t sound like a bomb. Sort of odd...had they been able to set it on fire inside the building though it would have been a lot more dramatic and worse. So perhaps that was their goal. Why no bomb though? Weird...
Thanks for the info.
Cops in Britain carry guns now...
Did you read the original article or are ridiculous comments your forte?
CNN Reporter: “It does seem that this was some time of terrorist attack.”
The 1993 WTC attack and the 2001 WTC attack both happed early in the term of the new presidents. I'd say be on the look out for possible problems in 2009 regardless of what party wins.
They like to put the new ruler on the spot and see how he'll respond.
Candidates may campaign as "anti-war" candidates BUT every presidential candidate MUST be prepared to lead this country in combat. It comes with the office. The Commander in Chief. If he or she is unfit to lead the troops and unwilling to do so, he or she has no business leading this country.
Maybe these are the same guys from yesterday...
