yep sure does.
Hey - does it look like they wanted to crash the car into the building thru the glass, but either lost control or chickened out?
There has been some speculation that the smoke was actually gas fumes. If they were in the car, breathing in the fumes could have caused them to lose control of the car.
I think I saw the car on Haymarket St had 7 boxes of nails in it.
British police have a "crystal clear" picture of the man who drove the bomb-rigged silver Mercedes outside a London nightclub, and officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com he bears "a close resemblance" to a man arrested by police in connection with another bomb plot but released for lack of evidence. Officials say the suspect had been taken into custody in connection with the case of al Qaeda operative Dhiren Barot (pictured), who was convicted of orchestrating a vehicle bomb plot involving targets in London, New York, Newark, N.J. and Washington, D.C.
Officials say a surveillance camera caught the suspect "staggering from the Mercedes" shortly after parking it outside the Tiger Tiger nightclub.
dumba$$ terrorists!
by the way - I am really surprised that there are only 2 cars. That doesn’t fit their MO.
Yup, I agree... and the whole "Thursday night attack on Tiger Tiger" picture we were initially presented with seemed odd to me from the beginning.
Serious business, but I couldnt help laughing watching with my father the Sky feed onto Fox this morning and today....
Thinking of the phrases and names that must have confused the US public: ‘autumn’, ‘chief whip’, ‘David Cameron’, ‘Sir Menzies Campbell’..........lol
And a ‘helluva way’ for most Americans to be introduced to Brown, the Cabinet and major British politicians.
Listen,we have survived 1940,the IRA,July 7th and 21st....this is the same.
I have seen not one word about that on British tv.
Thanks for that.
That is interesting as birmingham is some way away from London - clearly they have some hard intel.
We got some folks in the intelligence agencies that dont belong there.
Birmingham's mentioned. Quelle suprise.

FYI....
Apparently British media is keeping this under its hat, or at least the intelligence agencies are.
Yep, I guess they’ve all gone home for the day. lol
Its definately not been reported yet, and thats a surprise being as theyve been on top of everything else thats happening.
“Birmingham’s mentioned. Quelle suprise.”
It figures......

“Two car bombs found in West End”
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Police have confirmed they are now investigating the discovery of two car bombs in the West End of London.
Police said the second device had been found in a Mercedes hours after the car was given a parking ticket in Cockspur Street and towed to Park Lane.
Another Mercedes, with a bomb made up of 60 litres of petrol, gas cylinders and nails, had been found outside a nightclub in Haymarket at 0130 BST.
Both bombs were similar, potentially viable and clearly linked, police said.
‘Troubling discovery’
At a news conference on Friday evening, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke, head of Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism command, said the discovery of the second device was “obviously troubling” and “reinforces the need for the public to be alert”.
“There was a considerable amount of fuel and gas canisters, as in the first vehicle. There was also a substantial quantity of nails,” he said.
Speaking earlier about the first bomb, DAC Clarke said: “It is obvious that if the device had detonated there could have been serious injury or loss of life.”

Police sources said it would have caused “carnage” if it had exploded.
“International elements” were believed to have been involved with the bombs, Whitehall sources told the BBC.”
