Combined with the Supreme Court's busing decision, this is a swell day to be a conservative.
I totally agree! Get that wall built and stop the flow. DEPORT THE ILLEGALS and help those who ARE following the rules to get processed faster.
You're still taking up arms, fighting to keep the Negros on your plantation.
This is a great victory. Congratulations to all.
Oh, the bill will be back all right. They’ve put it in a sack until 2009. In the meantime the existing laws will continue to be flouted and those responsible will throw up their hands and say, “Oh, well, we tried.” This is only a very partial victory, but a victory it is.
Don't bet on it.
Were going to do this damned thing, and if we dont, I think we should dissolve the Congress and just go home, Lott fumed.
“The wheels are going to come off this thing.” TL
The Trent Lott/Kenny Rogers Song: `Loose Wheels’
You picked a fine time to leave me, loose wheels.
Four hungry ninos, artichokes in the field.
I’ve seen some hard times, we’ve been through some hard times, but this time the hurtin’ won’t heal . . .
You picked a fine time to leave me, loose wheels.
I'm wondering, of the Senators that flipped their votes to "No" on cloture, how many are up for election next year? Never forget the primary role of a politician - to get reelected.
Rush just said he KNOWS that Dems on the floor were telling pubs go ahead and vote for amnesty, it was safe because by the time they were up for relection “talkradio’ will have been dealt with.
Maybe the lesson should be, let’s be more careful whom we call “friends”. I didn’t see him as one in 1999-2000, was will to give him the benefit of the doubt after 9/11, and watched him live down to my expectations for the next 6 years.
LOL!
Thanks.
EXACTLY - never forget those who voted for us - and NEVER forget those who voted against us.
Finally..my faith in the Senate is restored.
WOO HOO, TOO!!!!!!!
“I am having a hard time to figure out who is more pathetic
Harry Reid or Paris Hilton.”
Paris Hilton has an excuse - she’s stupid.
Oh! Nevermind!
Huge defeat for the demorats!
If Clinton and Obama voted for it they can forget the Ind voters and many of their union voters.
Every candidate on both sides will be grilled on how they would vote or veto it.
