Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.

Of the 53 votes to kill this atrocious bill only 11 were Democrats! Republicans had enough votes to kill it all by themselves!

I noticed that also.Everywhere ,even on this site most people blame the GOP for this Amnesty bill . And they give Democrats a pass. If they would only bother to look at and see a count of the votes. I don't know if they will give credit to the GOP for killing this bill. I doubt they will.

AND the bill would have allowed those 20 million to bring in to the U.S.A. their family members ( chain migration) till 2016. And that would have been legal for them to bring in all these illiterate 3rd world people. Then all of these hundreds of millions of foreigners would have the vote too. Then they would control the country. We wouldn’t have had a chance then because Democrats would have had all these hundreds of millions or tens of millions of new pro illegal voters. So then the borders would be thrown wide open to the 4 billion poor of the 3rd world. This is what that bill would have done. So it had to be killed.

Not sure what the “Fox roundtable” is, but Hannity has been strongly opposed. Most of the Fox talking heads have been pro-amnesty.
She was referring to The Panel—Fred, Mort, Bill C., Juan, Mara, etc. Fred, in particular, has been doing cartwheels over this bill.

Even worse was that Saturday Buttner show in which all of the Wall Street weenies attacked the president of Mothers Against Illegal Immigration as a racist.
But she held her own. Her last remark was that she wanted the panel to pay for her children’s schools ruined by illegal immigration.
Well, we both know who you'll be rooting for. Your pro-amnesty position is shared by far more Democrats than Republicans, so the only way you'll get your wish is with an '08 win by Hillary taking along major congressional coattails. But don't get your hopes up -- your chances are slim.

Most law-abiding immigrants who came here the old-fashioned - legal - way will indeed remember the Donks in such a way. It's only the welfare-addicted, Aztlan-pining, assimilation-averse - you know, your crowd - who'll blame the Pubbies. And thank goodness tens of millions of those types, because of yesterday's vote, won't be voting in '08.
Now pick up the phone, call the Prez, and ask him to enforce the current immigration laws. ....which includes building the border barrier. Live up to your username for once.
