We can give credit when it is due. Good job, Mr. President.

I’ll give him kudos for this one.

Oh and by the way, Hillary said he doesn’t care about families.
Bet she’s crying in her beer now. Good. :)

I see the Hildebeest could be counted on for an overly dramatic and short on fact rant about it. Yep - EVERY FAMILY IN AMERICA needs embryonic stem cell research Hiliary. And guess what else? It’s produced NO useful results so far.

The Democrats don't have the votes to override the veto. Its all about scoring political points.

When the president believes in something, he definitely believes in it and supports it. He and his conservative base are together on this one.

We are in sync on many items. Unfortunately, he’s in sync with Teddy on a few.

Good for him but he is talking too much.
He needs to just say, "ESCR does not work -- I am not going to support killing babies for something that has been tried for almost 30 years and never made a single person better."

Yes. This has become a line-item President. Good job on this one, President Bush. Now go and close the border.

Hillary is also far behind the latest science. Seems a Japanese researcher figured out how to dope mouse skin cells with 4 chemicals to RESET their DNA to turn them into plurapotent stemcells, that is, the same thing as embryonic stem cells.
His team is now engaged in experiments to do the same with human skin cells.
Presuming he's successful there would appear to be an almost infinite supply of embryonic stemcells available for any purpose and identical in genetic characteristics to any potential person needing them.
They'll also be very inexpensive and will not involve killing any babies or chopping them up for parts.
No doubt Hillary is beside herself with grief over the latter ~ she'd so much wanted to get in her own hand to do a little slicing and dicing, much like a Presidential Candidate on campaign trying out a cashregister.

Too bad he couldn’t find his veto pen 7 years ago. It would have come in handy several times over the past years.

Most of the stem cells they are talking about come from in vitro fertilization - a more consistent policy would be to ban in vitro fertilization.
