Jorge is preaching to his Spanish choir again. Too bad he can't show such "compassion" to the voters who elected him to be president(of America) twice.

It is becoming obivous that only heathens can be President and be well liked. Christian presidents who do Chirstian things are hated by the left and the right.

Compassion by backside! Lawlessness is more like it!

Mr. President,
It is not “compassion”.
It is pusillanimity.

resident Bush pushed for support for an immigration bill that would legalize millions of unlawful immigrants, highlighting the compassion behind the bill.
Fine, legalize them. But first build and man a secure fence along the entire border and end any further illegal immigration. Give the US a few decades to assimilate the ones already here.

for helping to change America for the better. It is one thing to praise another people's culture. I have no problem with that. But the comparison, here, implies that America needed to change--or was improved by the change--and that is not acceptable.
I have no problem with mutual respect. Indeed, that was once a cornerstone of our foreign policy. I have a great problem with the idea of changing America "for the better," by making her more like other lands. The President of the United States should be about preserving, not changing the heritage of America.
Some of these concepts are discussed in my letter, this morning to Senator Lindsey Graham: Letter To Lindsey Graham.

This is not over yet. Bush refuses to give up this easily. It's his stubborn character. As I predicted he would try to resurrect it and call it something else. We have to keep our guard up. We need to keep the pressure up. We have no choice but to fight. The oligarchy wants cheap labor and a destruction of the middle class and the millionaire democrats want votes they can count on. A marriage made in HELL.
STAGE TWO is to go after the people who hire illegals. Start giving them fines and arresting them. Just catch ten or 100 of them on the nightly news. The magnet will dry up and most of the 12 million will go home by themselves.
As an addendum, we should anonymously call the IRS, people working "off the books" means taxes ain't being paid. Make anonymous fliers and hang them around the neighborhood, name names. It's time to embarrass these bustards, whether they give to the GOP or Rats, we don't need them.
CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!
WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!
Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.
STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

Compassion? What about the compassion for the 15 million + people whose identities have been stolen? What about compassion for the people who are working hard to legally immigrate? What about compassion for the legal Hispanic US citizens who are now being lumped into the same bucket as those who come here illegally? What about compassion for the border patrol agents who are in jail for doing their job?
