“Brain size correlates to IQ. Neanderthals had bigger brains the we do.”
If that were true, whales would be the most intelligent creatures on earth.

I’m reminded of Paul Reiser’s joke about Neanderthals in heaven, groaning that the one doofus in the tribe was the one the archeologists dug up: “And guess who they base our whole civilization on! Howie! Remember him, that loser? With the bad teeth, and the stoop, and that huge unibrow? Aw jeez...”

Next question,
If “Neanderthals” were stronger and smarter than we, Why are we the survivors?

Brain size correlates to IQ. Neanderthals had bigger brains the we do. Accomplishment correlates better to IQ. Neanderthal flint tools never progressed. They remained extremely crude, while homosapien tools evolved into finer and finer instruments.

“Although our ancestors”
I thought I’d read numerous times from several different sources that Neanderthals share no common DNA with modern Humans...has this changed recently?
To: blam
...Neanderthals had previously been thought of as incapable of innovation, said Dr Hopkinson, as it was assumed to be something unique to Homo sapiens...We all know what happens when you assume. Anyway, it's only a matter of time before we recognize Neanderthal men as "men".

Way ahead of their time.
They welcomed the homo sapiens into their country assuming they would want to assimilate.
The rest is, as they say, history.

Neuron density is
supposed to correlate to intelligence, not brain size.
Isn't the mainstream Macroevolutionist view that Neanderthals aren't ancestors of humans (including Europeans) today, and that modern humans are completely homo sapiens?

But Neanderthal man was not as slow-witted as he looked and was in reality as smart as we are, an archaeologist claims.*...as slow-witted as he looked*???????
And how do we know what they looked like? Those stupid artists renditions? That's real reliable.

Speak for yourself sapiens.
I think the upcoming (or has it started?) Neandertaler sitcom may have something to do with the surge of interest, but as we all know, this is Mammoth Week, and the Neandertal loved the smell of mammoth in the morning.
The Neandertal Enigma
by James Shreeve
Frayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]
