On that I respectfully disagree. The Latino socialists will simply be part and parcel of the Democrat party, which has become hard left and will welcome them. It will be a one party rule and the end of any relevant conservative movement, period.

One thing is sure...if it is one party...the old Kennedy / Reid ‘white plantation masters’ will NOT be running it.
Immigration amnesty is going to lead to fundamental and I think sweeping changes in our political system. Short sighted thinkers in both parties are going to destry both parties.
That this will shatter the coalition that is the Republican parties has already been hashed out. What hasnt been is my contention that it will ultimately shatter the Democratic party coalition as well. Here's why.
The dems are a coalition of social and fiscal liberals (the ivory tower elites), minority groups (blacks in particular), and unions. Throw in the crazy leftists too. The unions are going to hate amnesty, it means lower wages for all. And after years of dutifuly kissing the dem party butt, blacks arent going to like suddenly being pushed aside as the dems will shift their focus on their even bigger new dependant class, the newly legal immigrants. The crazy leftists ultimately will hate the creation of a new serf class to feed big business.
I wouldnt be surprised to see a new third party arise that unites the unions, the social conservatives, and the blacks on an anti-immigrant platform. The new know-nothings without the anti-catholic stuff. And the ticked off crazy leftists supporting a green party that is anti-business, anti-immigrant labor. If that happened, the dems would be reduced to nothing too.
