SOFIA, Bulgaria - President Bush, turning from adulation in the Balkans to difficulties back home, said Monday that his stalled immigration overhaul would be revived and his embattled attorney general would not fall under a Senate vote of no-confidence. ADVERTISEMENT
"I'll see you at the bill signing," Bush said confidently about an immigration bill that has run into deep trouble on Capitol Hill.

“Bush says immigration bill will survive”
Bush has said many things in the last year-and-a-half that were BS... this is but one more BS statement!

I’m a little confused about the question of anchor-babies.I was listening to talk radio about this issue last week and the impression I got from the converstion was to end this thing would require a Constitutional Amendment !!!
I warned ya all that giving the executive too much power was a mistake, that a Hitlery could use that power.
I was pooh poohed and told that W could do no wrong, that Republican hold on the Presidency and Congress was firm and unchangeable. I was told my conservative credentials were in question.
Now look.
Sometimes I hate being right...
I sincerely hope there are no Bushbots left on FreeRepublic.
My prayer is that they have all woken up to the rude, ugly nakedness of this person who seems to enjoy playing the part of a globalist emperor.

Bush would crawl on his knees over broken glass all the way from the WH to Capitol Hill to get this amnesty passed.
A president desperately searching for a legacy is not a pretty sight.
And we see these guys before the cameras, ranting and raving, in desperation, as well:
Reid raving.
Kennedy raving.
L Graham raving.
McCain raving.
Specter raving.
Feinstein raving.
Lott raving.
They owe somebody something, because they are willing to put their political careers on the line for this bill.
The New World Order, now that’s a different story...
That's pretty much my feeling, as long as they don't get Cheney.
He must be living in a bubble where he has no idea how strongly people feel about this, or worse, he just doesnt care. “
The problem is, fundamentally, GWB is an idiot, and a very cocky one at that. Not a good combination.
What can you call a man who runs at full speed and rams his head into a wall?
President Bush has been giving all Americans the finger on this issue for a while now. Every time he said "jobs americans won't do" I felt like I was being slapped in the face by the President. Calling the Minutemen vigilantes was all I needed to hear to know how out of touch he was (and still is) on border issues. Giving us the finger? Sure has- many, many times.
peROT gave us ‘toon. Vote third party in 08 and you will get his wifey as your next President.

Declaring them legal won't fix this!
Has President Bush ever publicly renounced his Skull and Bones activities?
If he were a candidate to be the elder in my church, that would be a necessity.
Since he portrays himself as a Christian president, I expect the same from him.
> Doesnt he realize that people dont support it, especially his base?
Yes. And it is increasingly obvious that he simply DOES NOT CARE.
Fine. Mr. President, I am DONE WITH YOU.
Bush's insistence on this comprehensive immigration "reform" bill Bush is just as bizarre and unexplainable.
I just have a gut feeling that both these episodes are related, somehow, because of how off-the-wall they are.
Wish I could figure it out.
is better than A Bad Bill
This is a Bad Bill!!!
Why the heck is Bush trying to make Amnesty part of his legacy!? He already has created a respectable legacy by removing the Taliban and the Saddam Regime. He is going to destroy his legacy by enacting this monstrosity of a bill. If he wants to make himself immortal in history, he should stop the Iranian nukes. Now that would be some legacy. Something is really wrong with Bush.
Quite obviously, he doesn’t. W is putting on a brave face for the overseas press corps.
