There is no body
Absolutely brilliant ending to a brilliant series. David Chase is a genius.
It;s a TV SHOW!!!!
Agree. A few loose ends is one thing, but - apart from the cool Phil-head-crushing scene - NOTHING was settled. Maybe there’s gonna be a movie after all.
The Grey Goose, Phil Leotardo, getting whacked in front of the daugher and grandkids and getting his cabeza crunched by the evil SUV was the only worthwhile scene. What a dissapointment. Make up your own ending. Like that’s cool. My ending is Tony moves on to become the new DH of the Yankees. Oh, brother.

Nope, that was hilarious. The final scene - Chase messed with every possible ending we dreamed up: some guy walking into the diner to cap Tony, something happening to Meadow in her car, something with AJ. I was totally wrong, but I loved it.

You’re right on that account. I actually got nervous in the final minute, and I don’t react to movies like that any more. Just the same, that’s a cheap trick that won’t wear well down the road.
Will you please spill the beans...what happened?
He was just too chicken-sh!t to actually write up an ending.
This was the only Sopranos I’ve watched, I watched 25 minutes of it. Seemed to me every scene was a set up of scenes from the Godfather movies, staging-wise.

Was the guy that went to the bathroom gonna whack the whole family?

I think all the things we heard as spoilers will happen in the film. Chase just wanted to get *his* property back.
Everyone gets to decide in their own mind what happened next.
I like to think Tony and Carmella live to a ripe old age.
And he goes out on his own. Watching a flock of ducks flying over.
What song was playing? I don’t have HBO.
Not necessarily. Final episode of Six Feet Under was about as perfect as it gets.
The Gay Guv is goin' to a seminary! When they resurrect the series I'll enjoy the Newark scenes since that's where I was born and baptised in the church where Tony passes during the intro to each episode.
We want more Tony!
Steve Perry and a head crushed. Hell I could have written and directed this one
The screen just went blank as if your TV’d gone off the air, like it was turned off.
Better to have no real ending rather than to go back and try and tell everybody the other ending was just a dream. (ex. “Dallas”)
Newhart.
When he was raking the leaves, I thought the ducks were gonna come back. But then I remembered he drained the pool.
Absolutely nothing happened. Nothing.
I thought it was brilliant,,life goes on,and on with the same threats, menace, sociopathy.
It went beyond drama, felt real. Loved it.
