Other than his stance on illegal immigration I think Bush has done a fine job. I don’t expect Bush to be 100% perfect.

Oh, yes he is. And even if in the back of my mind I gave some consideration that maybe — just maybe — there was a president worse than Jimmy Carter, I would still hang the title on Carter for his being such a putz.

Um, no. Bush is the worst Republican since Hoover. Carter is still hands-down the worst in US history.

Bush claims he wants immigrants to learn English yet refuses to rescind Executive Order 13166. This order is an unfunded mandate that directs any entity that receives federal funds to provide services in ANY foreign language. With a stroke of his pen, W could rescind E.O. 13166. And that's why he's the "worst president ever?"
My, my.... You need some better standards.

Then you have no memory of Carter, 18% inflation rate, high unemployment, Islamic Jihad started by Carter allowing the Shaw of Iran to be replaced by the Islamic leaders who started the current war against the west. Higher taxes. De-funding of military, no spare parts 70% of planes and ships down for part shortages. Thats just the tip.

I believe I called this several weeks ago. However Bush doesn't only provide lip service to Securing our Boarders, but he also supplies lip service to ...... the War on Terror (his famous pause for peace) I could go on & on, providing leadership for responsible Government Spending. These two items in my opinion have caused substantial damage to which we have not even begun to see how much damage has really been done.

Good post with valid arguments, but several months premature. The truth does hurt, I know, and I appreciate your strong medicine.
But, we can always pray for a miracle that would turn this trainwreck around. Until POTUS_GWB leaves office, Carter is still the worst.

I’m pretty disgusted with President Bush’s performance in his second term, and its on a wide range of issues.
But sorry, Carter was the worst President in my lifetime, by miles and miles and miles.
21% inflation. 11% unemployment. Gas lines. Boycotting the Olympics.
Leaving our people twist in a jihadist wind for 444 days.
Constantly undermining administrations from both parties.
Yep, I’m pretty disgusted by the President’s performance.
But that disgust doesn’t cause me to lose all touch with reality, or historical record.

While I agree Bush's record on the illegal thing has been absolutely atrocious, he is no where NEAR as bad as Carter was.
You're way off on this one. Way off.
