Amen to what you posted. Time to clean out the cesspool that is the US Congress.
“Its not the time to keep the heat off these elite traitors. They will be back on Monday with their next version and it will stink just like the last one. Theyre liars through and through.”
You are right....
Harry WANTS this bill shoved through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay! And for a reward we will get to return to the status quo of open borders! US citizens lose in both cases! Don’t you just love it when you get the lesser of two evils?
I agree; now if we can only find someone with the funds to run against the perfidious ones.
So many witches...so little time ;-)
I don’t mind helping the third world. I believe family values don’t stop at the rio grande. I’m compassionate.
But I believe the treasure that is the United States is like a trust fund. We can use the interest from our inheritance to save the world, as we’ve done and as we continue to do. But letting wave after wave of illegal entrants and printing money to send profligate bribes to turd world dictators to try to curry favor is like spending down the principal itself. And just because some liberal white people (like the president) feel guilt about us having so much.
Well we have much but we have the responsibilites that go with it. The White Man’s Burden, while acknowledging it’s not really about color, is true and real. It’s a thankless job. That’s what Kipling was talking about.
Yeah, Al Gore was still toying around the idea in his garage.
Great news!
It’s not over until we secure the party leadership.
The obvious next step is for both parties to bribe key senators with pork or other incentives. One prominent senator was already said to be in line for a federal judgeship. They will return to the back room and work on this some more, I expect.
If necessary, they’ll add forty or fifty billion dollars more pork to it. As long as the leaders of both parties are committed to it, it’s not certifiably dead.
We still need to keep the pressure on, and we need to throw out the high profile proponents who voted for it to the last when they next come up for election.
I know it’s just a breather, but can we celebrate this wonderful moment, just for a night? We all worked very hard, spent a lot of money on long distance phone calls and I’m sure, lost some sleep. Let’s take tonight and just pat one another on the back and say “Thank you brother, Thank you sister”.
Now is the time for FRED to jump in and hammer away at this baby.
McCain just sealed his fate (if it wasn’t already) and Brownback lost all 3 of his voters. Maybe Fred can pick them up and wipe the floor with Gulliommney?
Way to go FReepers!!!!! You da bomb!!!!!
GREAT "HOUSE" ANALOGY ON HANNITY & COLMES! I LOVE THiS MAN!!!!
EXACTLY! It’s the CITIZEN’S “fault” that this bill is dead (at least for the time being). And I gladly accept my share of the guilt! (o:
In the here-and-now, the bill is dead. I bet we haven’t seen the last of it though. Keep the pressure on.
You are right - it ain’t over. Right now on the floor McConnell is talking about the importance of getting a bill passed.
None of these guys can be trusted. They will wait an interval and try it again, hoping we are asleep. We must keep the pressure on, because very soon the White House will be pushing a new amnesty bill. Reid right now is almost bragging that he will get his amnesty bill, and he just alluded to the fact that neither Democrat or Republican wants this thing around in the next Presidential campaign.
Be vigilant. Reid “is committed to get this bill”. And so is Bush. McConnell is not against the bill, but just wants the chance to offer more amendments. Right now he wants to bring the bill back up.
Keep up the pressure. And don’t forget to remove Graham, Hagel and the rest from the roll calls.
Thank goodness!
