Tonight's cloture motion has just gone down to defeat. No where near the 60 yea votes needed to cut off debate.

If he is a “one worlder,” then he has forsaken his oath to the Constitution and has engaged in Treasonous behavior. It makes me really nauseous to think that a President of our country could even be associated with such a traitorous, treasonous activity. Our President should be beyond reproach! Otherwise, what good is the Oath of Office? It’s nothing more than words mouthed to keep the masses ignorant of true intentions. As I said elsewhere, this boils down to con-artist behavior: bait and switch. That’s usually grounds for prosecution ...
Because it contained a modicum of enforcement provisions which he hoped to appease his now irratonal base with.
BTW, killing this bill is an example to all libertarians, of why we all need to do, individually and collectively, what is best for all of America -- i.e., our citizens and future citizens.

News Flash: Pathway to citizenship is amnesty.
According to parliamentary procedure, a motion or bill that's defeated may be brought up again if someone who never voted for it announces that he's changed his mind (any particular person can only do this once on a motion or bill). If it becomes clear a motion or bill isn't going to pass, it's common for one or more of its supporters to vote against it so they can "change their mind" and support it. I don't know how many of the votes that switched were "real" votes against it and how many were holding back.
The paradigm shift for me started with the president's recent comments on the legitimate concerns of the people who voted for him. And each time he opens his mouth on the issue, this president who's been in charge of securing our borders for eight years, my paradigm shifts further.
Remember two weeks ago, Lindsey said he was going to “Tell the Bigots ‘No’”.
Didn’t WE used to be his “base”?
