I know for a fact Brownback supports this bill, but he doesn't have the courage to go on record with it. When I called his office, I got the wishy-washy answer that "the senator has problems with the bill in its current form." He supports it and will again, but will only do it publicly if there is political cover. I voted for him every election since 1994, but this issue ends my support.

What I want to know is why all those who begged for passage of this bill were so bent out of shape about it. They were really acting like people who had been threatened with something dreadful. Think mob threats in 1930’s B movies. Some of them were bordering on hysteria, especially the ones going against their constituents. It made absolutely no sense.
Putting tin foil hat on: what is going on behind the scenes?!? Have these people sold out to something or someone? Where does SOROS fit into all of this (other than providing the free 800 number so that we can call our Senators. I don’t remember the whole number, only that it ends in 666. Very fitting!)
