Tonight's cloture motion has just gone down to defeat. No where near the 60 yea votes needed to cut off debate.

If this is truly dead, I think I know the nest trick that they are going to pull: they are going triple the amount of “legal” immigrants. It will accomplish the same thing as shamnesty but it will be legal.

I am actually not to far off of the idea. I just want to see a candidate rallied around and Republicans coming together not pulling apart. Obviously, I do not care at all for criticism of President Bush.

I fear any proposals made even by Tancredo are going to be manipulated by some as deceptive and incomplete reform. This seems inevitable given the size and scope of illegal immigration.

I still believe that Dem radicals are in on this game and trying to destroy Republicans on this issue.

For those of us here in California, we are checking the night skies for signs that the planets have aligned since Barbara Boxer (the dumbest woman in the Senate) voted AGAINST cloture. Apparently she and Feinstein had a tiff on the floor. I’d love to see the video of that! Anyway, I’m calling her to thank her for voting appropriately for once. Diane will hear from me too.

I heard Paris Hilton may be going back to jail. My theory is that a good, secure double fence can stop Paris as well.

Can you imagine if that's what we had coming at us at the rate of 7 to 10 thousand per day over the border? Half the country would be down there building a wall, well armed.
