Tonight's cloture motion has just gone down to defeat. No where near the 60 yea votes needed to cut off debate.
Harry now pontificating on Senate floor.
Hey, George, it was 45-55 the second time, almost by party line.
Agreed....
Hello,
LOL!
MOgirl
Should be posted tomorrow. If I forget to put it up, remind me.
That'll bump W's approval rating by 5 points, even if it's false. There is only one group to blame--FR and their fellow conservatives who called their Senators. It is they who must bear the burden of having killed this bill.
Have you seen the votes? Who were yes? Who were no?
Here’s a portion of the cross party votes. I think I caught all the prodigal R’s and most the good D’s
For cloture on the Immigration bill:
D No’s
Tester (MT)
Webb (VA)
Dorgan (ND)
Boxer (CA)
Pryor (AR)
Sanders (VT) (I)
Landrieu (LA)
McCaskill (MO)
R Aye’s
Lugar (IN)
Graham (SC)
Voinovich (OH)
Specter (PA)
Theres a lot of support for this bill on the outside
yeah, outside the country.
SWEET! I'd pay good money to watch. Blackbird.
Thanks!

You got it FRiend!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
We can only hope.
That’s a beaut. Thank you very much!
NOW it’s time to demand they ENFORCE the laws already on the books, and get that dang fence FINISHED!!!
Here here! You deserve a big round of applause!
I don’t think Ravenel is reliable, is he? I know his father was a very liberal Republican by SC standards and once considered switching to the Democrats.
100% Accurate!
For years, our state legislature kept telling the Minnesota Twins “No, we’re not gonna pay for a new baseball stadium for you”.
the Twins never took NO for an answer. They kept coming back every frickin’ year ‘til they (a) wore the opposition down and (b) found enough useful idiots who they were able to con into voting for it.
To make a long story short, we need to be vigilant. I’m gonna make sure that I stay on Sen Norm Coleman’s office about this issue.
