Um. Fred DID support a limited amnesty for Cubans and Nicaraguans. I have no problem with amnesties for refugees, however.

His face has more wrinkles than an elephant’s knees. I hope he keeps it that way while everyone else (mostly HRM Hillery) has their face “done.”

I do, too. I think he looks distinguished.

Who cares what they do?

They run a think tank. Being a member is a status symbol. Fred hasn’t even written a single paper for them, as far as I can tell.

Anyway, any decent group conspiring to take over the world wouldn’t invite Angelina Jolie to be a member.

Yesterday was the first day I visited a Fred thread, two to be exact. Many other people haven’t got that far. Get ready to waste bandwidth. Most people aren’t going to rummage through old threads all day.

The search feature works just fine... AND you have already been given the link to one of the compilation threads on this topic. I suggest that you avail yourself of those rich resources.

I went back and read your comments (it didn't take long) and had no problem with your posts. You are absolutely right. It was good constructive criticism. Well done! As I am not a Fred fan, I hope his campaign doesn't take your advice. : )

I'll never forget when they were married and their pictures were posted on the GUILD thread. I have never forgotten and had similar thoughts then. Jeri has tacky taste. She needs a dress consultant.

I am giving Thompson a serious look and so far I don't like what I see.

So am I and so far, I sure do.

It’s the absolute truth, and he should be proud.

Your “no fair! personal arrack!” routine every time someone points out the truth about your posting patterns is rather tiresome.

I agree, but we do have to be *very* careful about the "refugee" angle. That's how Western Europe is being flooded with Muslim immigrants from Wipewiththelefthandistan. All in compliance with U.N. resolutions, you know.

A fence is not the end of this battle, but only the beginning. I hope that Fred is wise enough to recognize that charity can (and has been) carried much too far.

He's already a member of the globalist CFR,

CFR is a think tank, nothing more. At elast he keeps up on the issues... supported McCain-Feingold,

He's already admitted that was a mistake...

once supported amnesty

Care to support that outrageous claim with sources? The only thing I have ever seen submitted to try to support that trash is something about votes on ammendments on legislation that never came to a vote... If that's the best you've got, better keep trying.

and is suspiciously avoiding the debates.

Probably the most ridiculous chare. Thompson was not officially a candidate until he formed his exploratory committee last week. The first debate was already past, and the second already set. Th epurpose of a debate is for the voters to get to know you and hear your views. Rather than get thrown into a crowd of 11 candidates, Fred will be on Hannity and Colmes tonight right after the debate, all by himself, to analyze the debate. He gets to challenge the statements of the other candidates, and he gets the stage to himself. Pretty smart, if you ask me!

I am giving Thompson a serious look and so far I don't like what I see.

So who is your preferred candidate?

Those of us who haven’t chosen a candidate would like to hear his views. I want to know if I’m in for 4-8 more years of Bush because that is what it appears.

Considering the fact that it is more than 6 months until the first primary, I think Fred Thompson will have more than enough time to make his views known. In fact, he's actually been doing that for the last few months with his ABC commentaries and his stint on the Paul Harvey show. He has been making himself known without having to spend a dime. Pretty smart. Those activities didn't interfere with his contractual obligations with NBC for "Law and Order" or HBO for the "Wounded Knee" movie. He's already finished with NBC, and I believe his contract with HBO is up in June, so he's waiting for that to happen before his announces.

There is no requirement for all candidates to get into the race at the same time. If Fred thinks he can still raise enough money, and make his views known without having to announce as early as the others, more power to him.

Thompson is the kind of man who will bring in millions to the electoral process (as slimy as it is) who have been left out and who can now connect to common sense.

I've been thinking the same thing. Folks who had long ago been turned off by the political scene might just take a second look if a candidate is someone with whom they are 'familiar', even if it is because of a part on telelvision. Nothing wrong with bringing a few more voters into the action!

—The only detriment to Thompson that I know of is that he’s got no military experience.—

Playing a general in Hunt for Red October is still superior to the combined military experience of Hitlery, Barack Hussein and the Breck Girl.
