Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Katharine McPhee and Caroline Rhea to Join Hillary at Launch of Club 44
Event to Kick-Off Efforts to Reach Out to Young Women
Hillary for President announced that 10-time Grammy winner, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, and American Idol finalist, Katharine McPhee, will perform for Hillary Clinton and a crowd of thousands at the kick-off of Club 44 in Washington, DC on June 6, 2007. Actress and comedian, Caroline Rhea, will serve as the emcee at this family-friendly event.
Club 44 is the campaign's effort to identify and mobilize young women voters who support Hillary Clinton for president. According to a study by the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement (CIRCLE), in 2004, 12.5 million women between ages 18-24 were eligible to vote.
"Young women can play a major role in deciding who our next president is," said McPhee. "It's important for all of us to get involved in the political process, and I'm happy to do my part by being part of this great event and performing for our next president, Hillary Clinton."
Other notable women will also be present at the event including: Senator Barbara Mikulski, Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, tennis legend Billie Jean King, human rights activist Dolores Huerta, and EMILY'S List president and Club 44 co-emcee, Ellen Malcolm.
"I am a huge fan of the women participating in this event and am excited to be part of this special evening," said Edmonds.
In addition to the live musical performances, Caroline Rhea will entertain the crowd with her signature wit and comedy. "I'm thrilled to be sharing the stage with all these amazing women," said Rhea. "This country is ready for change and Hillary is ready to lead as the next president."
The event is expected to take on a carnival theme with a moon bounce, food vendors, and other fun activities for the whole family. Local choirs and marching bands will also perform at the event and the campaign is expected to raffle off several prizes including a dinner with Hillary Clinton.
"I am honored to have Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds, Katharine McPhee, Caroline Rhea, and all the other amazing women support me at the launch of Club 44," said Hillary Clinton. "I believe this presidential election is about taking our country in a new direction, and I have the experience to get this country back on the right track. I am confident that women will be at the forefront of our campaign to create real change in America."
How’d the FReep go? Did anyone take pictures?
Ya, where are the pics and after action report?
JBob - Can't you come up with an original thought, or are you a parrot?
[Mr] T
Not sure why JBob ping you about the pics. You weren’t even there. I’ll ping the D.C. Chapter when I post some pics. BillF will also try to post some.
[Mr] T
Scooter’s got diaper rash, I guess.
I’m doing the report on a fabulous, fun-filled FReep. I’ll use trooprally’s photos and some of mine.
It will take a couple days for me to process everything and post it, but don’t despair. Hillary wasn’t unopposed and won’t be unopposed if DC Chapter FReepers are around.
Hope that both of you will join the effort by organizing peaceful counters to Hillary’s events in your own areas.
See #29 above. Unfortunately my glove and stocking days are behind me. Spent too much time looking for hand grenades thrown under me by supposed allies.
You’ve always been a class act.
I’ve seen a lot of FR-posted “grenades” lobbed by you, but those on the receiving end don’t whine about it and blame you for their own inaction.
Those targeted by your grenades may throw a few shells back at you, but they don’t get sidetracked by petty FR “office” politics. They keep going out and FReeping.
Kindly consider doing likewise and quitting the instigation of firefights. Elevate the tone and good things can happen for us all.
Stay on a higher plane and you’ll be glad that you did.
NEENER, NEENER TOO!

Q: What do you do when Bob J throws a pin at you?
A: Run. He's got a hand grenade in his mouth.
You're confusing fratricide with suicide.
It's a big country Bob. There's room for different approaches. Don't blame others for your inability to lead or bad ideas.
Bill, you've always been a reasonable guy. You might notice the first to instigate on this thread was TGSL at #29 by posting a pic of me from long ago at a Hillary FReep and making a snide comment. My response at #37 was sarcastic but benign. IN fact, check every comment of mine on this thread and tell me where I have "instigated anything. They then ping their "posse" and everyone piles on. Notice I don't ping anyone, never have, but if I get I'm probably going to give back just as hard.
In fact, if you go back I think you will see I rarely initiate any posting to her, Kristinn or Raoul. If you're going to toss blame around, get the facts in order.
A couple months ago, Raoul and I made an agreement (I thought included TGSL and Kristinn), we don't post on each others threads that we start and we don't post to each other. TGSL was the first to break that agreement. When I pointed it out and pinged Raoul, he came in with both guns blazing and trashed me with his usual potty mouth and bathroom humor.
So don't talk to me about instigating anything. TKR can't keep an agreement and won't honor their promises. Their responses to me are usually nasty and vile. As far as I'm concerned, they stay away from me and I'll stay away from them but they just can't seem to do that.
BTW - They would like to extend their threads to cover any post put up by anybody tangentially affiliated with them or anyone who has ever FReeped in DC. No dice. I'll stay off any thread originated by them or a central member of their group nor will I post to them anywhere as long as they do likewise. But this is a free forum and trying to censor me on any comments or observations I may have reeks of Hillaryism and their penchant for calling in the troops (Am I that dangerous? Can't they handle it themselves?) whenever I post to them borders on cultism.
If you have any influence with them I'd suggest using it. All they have to do is leave me alone and I'll leave them alone.
Anyone interested in checking up on your victimhood can, and they will find that you have a big chip on your shoulder, making nasty comments repeatedly, about the DC Chapter and our members. Heck, you even posted a photo (but not "on this thread") in your continued attempts to denigrate our efforts.
I usually ignore your underhanded comments, but every once in a while I toss your style of crap back your way.
You seem to enjoy tossing crap around, but you get indignant when it's thrown back at you.
Keep it up, Bob, if it helps your self esteem or whatever. But don't be surprised when people use your tactics against you.
Buh-bye.
Your post 4 in this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1844916/posts instigated the latest round.
There is no evidence that anyone is trying to censor you or is calling in the troops, as opposed to people weighing in on their own.
Your cease fire idea is good. It’s always a good idea when deployed in circular firing squad.
Bill, how did that pic instigate anything, particularly with the DCC?
Then tell me why they think everything is about them?
Careful, you don’t want to move from the B list to the A list.
Told ya.
