Seeing how Gore is as much a Tennessean as I am a billionaire, I’ll vote for the only one running. Thompson.

Tennesseans had the opportunity to vote for Gore in 2000, and declined in large enough numbers to cost him the election.

Poll: Which Tennessean would you vote for: Thompson or Gore? Since Gore didn't even carry the state against a guy from Texas, I'd say he wouldn't have a chance against a homestate boy.

As VICE (and gore has plenty if vice) President of the US, when he was running for POTUS in 2000... gored-head could not even win his home state. This poll is a waste of time... but I voted for Fred!

Didn’t algore grow up in a hotel in D.C.?
Besides I wouldn’t vote for algore for dog catcher much less president.
Whereas Fred Thompson seems a true Tennessee gentleman.

Fred Thompson may be an ok guy and if DH does not run, I may vote for him but... I didn’t like my first 3 choices the media offered. This man does himself no favor IMO , by letting them offer him, now, as a substitute. People wonder, what’s up with that.

After I voted:
Fred 62%
Al 38%

Thompson would smoke Gore in Tennessee. Gore couldn’t win his own state when running against Bush.

*From the Washington Post...
" ...For all of Gore's later fascination with science and technology, he often struggled academically in those subjects. The political champion of the natural world received that sophomore D in Natural Sciences 6 (Man's Place in Nature) and then got a C-plus in Natural Sciences 118 his senior year. The self-proclaimed inventor of the Internet avoided all courses in mathematics and logic throughout college, despite his outstanding score on the math portion of the SAT. As was the case with many of his classmates, his high school math grades had dropped from A's to C's as he advanced from trigonometry to calculus in his senior year."

Gore has a carbon mcmansion in Tennesee and I know he has tenants that he abuses in Tennessee but I doubt any Tennesseans consider A. gore to be a tennessean.
