Wrongo.I lived near TMI . the cows were infected and had to be killed . A lot of people developed cancer. the kind of long term cancer takes time to develop but is there. I saw the entire state panic and changes made to certain nuclear plants because of TMI. Nuclear accicents, hello back in 1963 the sub thresser went down and the country paniced because of the nuclear reactor on board.Coal energy , tell that to the enviro s who hate coal tec. My own father died from a coal related lung disease. So I can speak about coal. You probably never heard of Brililyosis ( hard word to spell) that killed half my town in the early days of mining for coal.

The thresher reactor never melted down, so how is panicing an actual nuclear incident rather than a media scare. That is what the entire global warming scare is about what could happen if things go wrong.

On the side of coal, are you saying that since your father (May he rest in peace) died of black lung you don’t support switching coal plants to nuclear? I’m sorry they died but the fact is that it is old tech yet 50% of america is powered by coal power plants. Strategically speaking nuclear power production is safer, has more gross output, cheaper and stable. Not to mention you no longer need 100,000 tons of coal being flung around on our railways when they can be hauling more freight.

The french have over 80% of their power production coming from nuclear power plants, they have been lucky and have the same standards we have yet their hasn’t been an incident. Regardless western nuclear power plants if there is an accident the safety protocols minimize the hazard to a greater degree than the nightmarish outcome of Cherynobol.

I grew up in the area too.

No such developments. The proof is that there have been no massive class action suits on behalf of the cancer victims, the way you have mesothelioma suits against the asbestos folks.

I therefore conclude, that despite your sign-up date, you are a troll or a paid disruptor on this subject.

In other words, Alberto Gonzalez? Mel Martinez? Secretary Gutierrez? Is that you? ;-)

Tell your boss we're NOT buying it.
