Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.
"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."
Clinton said she would reduce special breaks for corporations, eliminate tax incentives for companies that ship jobs overseas and open up CEO pay to greater public scrutiny.
Clinton also said she would help people save more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.

She means individualism and God.
Replaced by collectivism and the government.
I wonder if she would go for the TV stations like Chavez.

Well, since she has never actually accomplished anything on her own, I can see why she would be somewhat intimidated by the concept.

So here is someone who, by most accounts, has led nothing but a privileged life, flies private jets all over the world, rides in limousines, has servants and bodyguards, makes obscene amounts of money for doing what most working-class Americans would consider very little real work, and she’s going to lecture us about why we shouldn’t have the things we have, things we’ve worked for on our own and earned by the sweat of our brow? I say, f-you, Hitlery. Just KMFWA.

Okay, Hillary, after you.
Once you start divesting yourself of all those millions you are worth, I’ll start giving more of my meager income to the gov’t.

Wonder if Hillary has practiced the classic Kremlim Wall hand wave. I can almost see her there surrounded by Ickies, Rosenthal, Grunwald and the other “Village People” waving to the plebians they have just robbed.

Conservatism is that we are all equal before the law and we all have equal opportunity. She may be selling but I ain’t buying.

Since LBJ’s boondoogle known as “The Great Society,”
we’ve spent trillions on welfare programs and continue to do so. Yet, the problems....and poverty....remain.

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none." If somebody, due to his circumstances, does not have as many opportunities as somebody else, is not government intervention to give him those opportunities a special prividege that is available to him, but not to somebody else?
Socialists are always talking about how the Fat Cats have all the special privileges, and yet the entire Socialist program is basically a scheme to dole out privileges and wealth based on some alternate formula.
