In my many conversations with people about the threat that radical Islam poses to the British way of life - and, indeed, to European civilization - we frequently end by despairingly agreeing that the West seems intent on committing political and cultural suicide. We look starkly at the demographic statistics, the wimpishness of our Establishment in the face of the threat, the perversions perpetuated by political correctness and our own passivity, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that within a couple of generations, Islam will be in control in Europe. Consider just a few chilling statistics. Europeans are failing to reproduce. Just to keep the population steady, you need to have 2.1 live births per woman. However, in 2005, the European average was 1.38. In Irealand it was 1.9, France 1.89, Germany 1.35 and Italy 1.23. Britain scored near the middle of this range with 1.6, but that was because - like France - we have a large Muslim population with a high birth rate. Indeed, Muslims are outbreeding non-Muslims throughout Europe.
"Just look at the development within Europe," said a triumphant Norwegian imam a few months ago, "where the number of Muslims is expanding like mosquitoes. Every Western woman in the EU is producing an average of 1.4 children. Every Muslim woman in the same countries is producing 3.5 children. Our way of thinking will prove more powerful than yours."
The big question this poses is: Why are we not reproducing? There are many reasons but probably the most important are the decline of religion and the liberation of women. In 1987 the earlier Amnesty involved 2.5 million illegals. Now the politicians are telling us 20 years later we need another Amnesty for 12 million (although I'd bet there are more).
So with open borders "fixing", a 2.5 million problem in 1987 got us a 12 million plus problem today. "Fix" this problem the same way and how many will we have in 20 years?
No, the big question is why are your traitorous leaders letting them in and why do you continue to support leaders who are destroying you. The problem is immigration, not birth rates. The problem is the ideology of leftism that at its core is genocidal racism against Europeans, and the acceptance, the internalization, of that self-loathing ideology by the masses mainly because of influence of television. Talking about birth rates is blaming the victim.
Birth rates aren't telling us of a problem today - but a problem for future generations. Taking your figures of 1,536,000 Muslim as 3% of the population, I did the math to project this over a number of generations. I used the article's Muslim birth rate of 3.5 (per woman). Since the combined birth rate of Muslims & non-Muslim's in England is given together (as 1.6) I first calculated the birth rate of non-Muslim English to be 1.5.
Here's the numbers for England alone:

** And all of this ignores continuing immigration of Muslims into England as an accelerator of this trend.
Westerners ignore this at their own risk.
You would not believe the stories I heard before I went to London the first time a few years ago. I half expected to walk into a Middle Eastern country. The hype here about London is IMHO over the top. Even the one street I found with even some Middle Eastern feel to it had a larger majority of non-Muslims on the street at the time. I just remember getting off at Marble Arch and went walking one morning. May have been Praed St or Chilworth. I do remember getting back on the Tube at Paddington. You just tend to find more out about a city when you go out to meet its people instead of riding a brown bus from attraction to attraction.
Ot is no coincidence that Christian civilization dominates in technology and science.

[somewhat more seriously, and not religious. Catholics are bred to yield to a ruling class. They accept the conecpt of unyielding, unquestioning subordination to an elite. That mindset is often used against them by politicians, who convince them that there must be likewise a secular ruling class as well as non-secular.

if they came with a fierce passion to defend the liberties of the Constitution then, get a green card and stay. But both parties need them here because they are easily subordinated and pacified, and provide an anchor on the societies who wish to throw the 2 parties out of office and lead civil unrest.
Even if those numbers are a little off I would find them to be a cause for some concern.
Why wouldn’t you believe Muslims will keep up that high a rate?? If they’re outproducing Anglos 3 to 1 now they can afford to take a break by outpacing the Brits 2 to 1 for a generation or 2 or 3.
What is the number one name of males born in the UK?? What is the number one name of males born in the UK last year?? Now, project that out.
I love our British allies. I don’t find this to be something that I am happy about, nor do I believe anyone else does. I hope that there is something that will come along to turn the tide, but I’m not sure what that might be.
I think Britain and Europe are losing themselves because they have lost their faith in Christ. They have a lost the hope and vision for a better future and a spiritual heritage. They live too much for the moment.
Yes, every historian will tell you that Western civilization is the result of the long and complex interaction between Judeo-Christian and Graeco-Roman religious, philosophical, and cultural values.

In a featured article in “Commentary” magazine (Dec.’04) titled “The Islamization of Europe?” by David Pryce-Jones, it states that there are more than 20 million Islamists in Europe. Britain has more than 2 million, France 6 million, and Germany 3 million.
But just to focus on the estimated numbers today is to completely miss the point. All authorities and experts agree that extrapolating from present data it’s a demographic fact that Europe is rapidly being Islamicized. A declining birthrate among the indigenous population combined with a rapidly increasing Islamic population means that the Muslim growth is exponential.
By the way, for any who feel things are not so bad in Britain, I recommend Melanie Phillip’s widely acclaimed “Londonistan.” I guarantee your thinking will change.

Right, but our problem is the illegal alien invaders. Of course with our out-of-control borders we should expect some Muslim terrorists to join the crowd! Isn’t it amazing how many people can deny realities just because they’re unpleasant?
Their numbers are growing and will continue to grow. They’re a minority in Western Europe and the US as of now but they have a vocal lobby. And the birth rate is climbing at a far greater rate than those not “practicing Islam”
It seems Britain, and most of Western Europe, just like the US, is catering to the minority population (of everything). We can’t say what we think/know without being labeled some derogatory term. Great Britain suffered and succeeded during WWII and I have hope they will not allow this to continue indefinitely.
We can’t say, without being labeled something derogatory, that this is a serious issue. I have great hope that Britain and the US, the people not the governments, won’t allow this to continue and if even it continues when push comes to shove (cliche, I know), the people will fight. Great Britain is use to being on the receiving end of powers supposedly greater than they are, yet they come through when it matters. Same for the US. And now Australia, too. We won’t allow this to succeed but it’s not going to be easy. The media seems to fight against what’s right, what’s normal, and they control a whole lot.
I don’t think Britain is practically Muslim now, just like the US isn’t practically Muslim or Islamic - but they are gaining power, and the liberals/dems are giving it to them just as the MSM is giving it to them. The people aren’t fighting it yet but they will eventually. It may be too late and I hope it’s not, but at the same time, it’s never too late for good to win. The MSM and liberals don’t understand that they’re included in the whole infidel thing. And of course, it will come down to the backbone of these countries to protect the rights of all, and die for freedom. I have no doubt, we all will fight but I’m doubting that by the time we speak up/out, that it may be too late, at least during my lifetime. And I’m selfish, I want it to be during my lifetime.
That’s certainly a big part of the problem. By the way, that’s why I think the friendly dispute among some FReepers about the number of churches v. mosques in Britain is totally irrelevant. Institutional religion in Britain is virtually defunct. A huge cathedral will have a handful of elderly people on Sundays and holy days.
Also, in Islam the mosque doesn’t play the same role as the church does for us. There are hundreds of “mosques” in private homes or any other place that can house them. And, yes, before any accuse me of being pretty ignorant, I HAVE been to Britain. But that too is irrelevant to the subject.
Furthermore, the welfare state subsidizes Muslims to have large families at the expense of the indigenous population who pay higher taxes that discourage large families or even families with enough children to maintain current levels of population.
