Every single silly conspiracy theory regarding the JFK Assassination eventually gets around to insisting that Oswald could not possibly have made the shots he did. It's not true at all.

All the silly conspiracy theories regarding the JFK Assassination are ~caused~ by the silly Warren Report theories that Oswald could have made the 'magic bullet' shots as alleged [by Allen Specter].
It's highly doubtful that Oswald would have been convicted from the evidence presented.

You've just never really studied the facts of the assassination, tpaine.

I've been studying the evidence since '64, when the botched Report first came out. Several days after its publication I pointed out [in a published letter to the editor] the ~fact~ of a mismatch with the holes in JFK's clothing and the wound in the back of his 'neck', as per photos/drawings in the Report.

There is no 'magic bullet'.

Specter says different. Read the report itself for his fanciful 'explanation'; - which was actually speculation.

It all makes sense. All the evidence you need has been around for two generations.

The reports crucial 'evidence' has been under credible dispute since its publication. Much of the fundamental evidence is flawed.

You're a decent chap, but I've just never understood this particularly puzzling thing about you not knowing the fundamentals of the JFK assassination.

I've never understood the puzzling 'thing' you fellas have about defending obviously flawed portions of the Report. Why does it bother you so much when us 'decent chaps' dispute the 'official version'?

The biggest and silliest conspiracy I’ve ever heard of is the Warren Commission ‘findings’...

All those who have taken the Perry Mason approach to investigating this case and thinking for yourselves will be rewarded.

Despite the fact that our govt found the JFK Assassination was ‘probably’ a conspiracy, and the countless polls showing 70%-80% believe there was one, there is not much interest in a new investigation.

I can’t wait for the day the ‘mainstream media’ has to report on this, and tell us it was a conspiracy...

Well, see, that's precisely the kind of thing I mean when I say that I'm puzzled that you don't understand the fundamentals.

New film ("The George Jefferies Film") has already been revealed that shows how the back brace Kennedy wore at the time led to the bunching up of the material of his suit jacket as he sat in the limousine at a higher plane than did Governor Connally. Pause the embedded film right at 00:25 to see ths effect.

This new film shows clearly what the counter-conspriracists (for lack of a better term, the 'Lone Gunman Believers' if you like that better) have been saying since that time in discrediting the notion of the 'zig-zagging' bullet.

This is not the first film that shows the bunching up of the material, nor the relative height difference between the President and Governor Connally, it's just the clearest. In fact, see how Sen. Arlen Specter demonstrates exactly this fact in the link above.

If you're aware of this film and simply don't believe it or buy the explanation of why it matters, then you're willfully ignorant because you simply want to believe in conspiracy. Maybe it's just that you greatly dislike Sen. Arlen Specter for some reason. Well, you would have quite a lot of company here on FR, but that's no reason to disregard the Warren Commission Report.

Really, tpaine: Kennedy's bunched-up suit coat, the difference in seated height between the two men, the downhill slope of Elm Street away from the TSBD, and the 'flying drill' ballistic characteristics of 6.5 Carcano military ball ammo are the sum of what mechanics were involved in the third shot causing the wounds and bullet path that you believe to be evidence of conspiracy.

This evidence has been available for forty-plus years. The only people remaining who believe in conspiracy are those uneducated by the facts (i.e., most who still believe in something more than Lee Harvey Oswald being the lone gunman, for whatever unfounded reason though they don't quite know why they believe what they do) or those conspiracists that want to ignore certain critical evidence to shape their pet reasonings for conspiracy because they're trying to sell spooky books, sell a paranoiac political idea, or cover up the embarassing fact that an adolescent-minded left wing Commie moonbat with undiagnosed sociopathic rage issues murdered our President in order to make the world remember his name forever.
