I’ll take Ron Paul and Tom Coburn at the top of the ticket.

But when Fred gets going, I’m ready & willing to jump on board.

I'll agree on your first point but be very carefuly about jumping on Fred's bandwagon until you really take a close look at his voting record when he was in the senate. Many of us from here in Tennessee weren't too happy with his towing the party line instead of voting according to the Constitution and, after that, what his constituents wanted.

Mitt has run a State which is more than most of those guys can say. Foreign policy experience? Not too much of that on that stage. For a President I want someone who has demonstrated that they can govern. Mitt as a Republican had to deal with a Massachusetts legislature. So he has had to lead and govern in unfriendly territory.

And he looked great in that debate and will trounce Hillary.

Oh, I'm fine. A bit distressed about the election prospects for 2008 and hating the Pelosi/Reid/Clinton cartel in Congress. Despising the Clinton/Obama/Edwards prospect as possible "President"....disaster in the waiting.

But after tonight think we might have a chance if we can get someone who can articulate the RIGHT positions on the issues - positions that identify with "regular" Americans and their situations by making common sense conservative positions make sense to these Americans.

Anyway - I hope you are well and stay well.

Good thread

Single digit candidates still being pushed on FR!

Some for candidates that could be used to put people to sleep

You can't be the World's only superpower and have absolutely NO foreign policy whatsoever.

hmm..."free trade with all. entangling alliances with none"....sound familar? This is what our Nation's founders thought of foreign intervention and why Congress is required to declare wars, not pass that power to the executive branch.

Can you cite some examples of that? Considering that we’re talking about a guy that often was the lone dissent in 99-1 votes, he wasn’t an all party line, all the time kind of guy.

I’m not picking a fight here...I honestly want to know the examples and why you felt that way.

Rudy was the big loser. Romney looked very, very slick, like a well done ad for Viagra or something. McCain was scary. Ron Paul should not ever actually appear in public. Gilmore seemed quite solid. Hunter would make a good VP.

Rudy nrver said he wants to kill all the unborn. That`s far different from what he has said. I know he is wrong on this but it doesn`t help when people make up stuff to try to win a point. Only works at DU

As much as I dislike saying it Duncan Hunter did not do to well in the informal post debate polls on Drudge and MSNBC.

I can understand why. He is wooden in his presentation. Deep voice almost a monotone. This appeals to some not most though.

He was different than the guy I met in person. He needs to chill a little. He has all the good ideas. He also has the correct experience and the credentials. His problem is the presentation.

How do others feel?

“Most of the responders named “Adult” stem cell reseach “

Both Rooty and McCain said they would be ok with funding embryonic stem cell research.

Congress delared war. Look up the definition of "war".

“What does that have to do with what Libby was charged with? “

Uraniun sought by Iraq has much to do with it all. There’s a correlation here.

Do I have personal knowledge? No. Do you?

Massachusetts is a liberal state and yes, he tried his best in an unfriendly territory.

I'm sorry, but he didn't do any such thing. He signed a permanent assault weapons ban, with gusto, and implemented socialized medicine, complete with taxpayer-funded abortions, for starters.

“I’m asking what is he afraid of? Either get in or get out.”

Fred Afraid? You have got to be kidding.
It’s called a contractual agreement, and thanks to campaign laws by announcing to soon he could cause some major problems for himself. Wait until the season ending Law & Order show the last week of May, and you will here plenty from Fred.
